My fiance and I wanted to start a home gym for our newly purchased home and we decided to buy this power rack. We are so happy we did !! It did take us about 4 hours to build since there are many parts to it but following the manual I think anyone can do it. Would highly suggest having at least two people to build. The bar of the smith machine arrived damaged but luckily Major Fitness was super responsive and was able to send us the new part very quickly. Both my Fiance and I have quit our gym memberships since we work out at home now thanks to this amazing smith machine Power rack where we can pretty much hit all body parts! Definitely the best purchase of 2024 for our new home!

My honest review of the Major Lutie SML09: At first glance, both in person and on the website, the Major Lutie SML09 appears to be an impressive piece of equipment. However, upon closer inspection, I found that it lacks the necessary thickness in its steel frame construction. This compromises its overall durability and stability. One notable aspect is its surprisingly lightweight design, which allows for easy movement when there are no weights attached. While this may be convenient for some, it raises concerns about the machine's ability to handle heavier loads without wobbling or shifting. Additionally, I noticed that the black oxide coating on the bar is peeling off in certain areas. This not only affects the aesthetics but also raises doubts about the long-term durability of the equipment. Furthermore, the welding on the entire machine, especially the Olympic bar, does not inspire confidence in its structural integrity. Considering the fact that it is made in China, I have reservations about the quality control measures implemented during its manufacturing. Although I can't confirm whether non-destructive testing (NDT) is conducted on this product, it is a concern worth noting. In terms of value for money, it seems that the Major Lutie SML09 falls short. If you frequently engage in mid to heavy-weight exercises, I would not recommend this machine as it may not provide the necessary stability and safety. On the other hand, if you primarily use lighter weights, this machine may suffice. Overall, I must admit that the Major Lutie SML09 has been a disappointment. In fact, I am currently looking to sell mine, should anyone be interested. If given the opportunity, I would definitely return it without hesitation. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.
