I am so happy with this purchase! It came in 7 separate boxes, all with individual tracking numbers assigned. Mine all stayed together in shipping so everything arrived on the same day, which was actually a week earlier than originally estimated so that was a great surprise. The setup itself went surprisingly smooth. I did the vast majority of it by myself with my wife only helping in the very early stages with stabilization so I didn’t have to flip the whole thing around multiple times as I was assembling the upright posts. 2 people would make it go much faster and a little easier but it’s totally doable by yourself. I would HIGHLY suggest watching the video they provide with the QR code on the front of the manual at least once before you start. I didn’t do that and when I referenced the video later on to get some clarification on a step, I caught a mistake I’d made just prior because I didn’t notice a minor detail in the picture instructions but it was made clear in the video. It was totally my error though, no fault to the instructions. All of the pieces fit together perfectly and I didn’t have to force anything together to get bolts to fit. As far as the machine itself it’s important to remember that this is a budget model. I got it on sale for right about $1,250. So it’s important not to compare this to $6,000 models which will obviously be better. For the price I paid I am absolutely thrilled by the quality. It has all of the functional upgrades of the B52 (the more premium flagship version available on Major Fitness’s website) while losing a few minor quality of life improvements to keep the price low. To me, the trade off is 100% worth the difference in price. The smith machine is incredibly smooth, and the safety catches have plenty of slots. I have had issues on other machines, especially with bench press, where the catch is either way too high or way too low and for this machine it had a slot that was just right. The lowest setting is juuust a little too high for full ROM on deadlifts but should be plenty for barbell rows. The highest hook put the bar at about chin height for me, which is obviously not ideal for walking around the machine so I took the idea from another reviewer and created my own storage hooks at the very top. I used two of the accessory hooks and ran them through the hole for the resistance band peg and it is the perfect height and size to hold the smith bar while it’s not in use. I would not recommend using that hook for any sort of weight or racking during exercise but it’s perfect for storing the empty bar. (Photos attached). The cables were very easy to run and the video instructions made it super straightforward. The aluminum pulleys are very impressive and the pulleys move like butter. One thing I did notice is that the carriage has a “twist to loosen and then pull to adjust” label but it doesn’t seem like tightening the twist actually serves any purpose. I can pull the lock and adjust the height up and down even when that knob is fully tightened down. Not a big deal or anything as it’s still locked in but just weird that it seems like tightening it should prevent it from being adjusted. The weight plates are concrete filled plastic plates so definitely need to be mindful of slamming them from up high and damaging the plastic, but I am not overly concerned. A few downsides that I have noticed: Although the rack feels very sturdy, the steel is a little bit on the thinner side. It does still seem to be plenty sturdy for the weights I will be using. The only reason I noticed it was a bit thin was that while tightening the bolts with my impact drill, a few spots sucked the metal inward around the bolt a little bit, so just be careful not to go too crazy over tightening. You will absolutely need power tools though or at bare minimum a ratchet set. I can’t imagine trying to assemble this just with the two little wrenches they included. I noticed a few blemishes on the rack when I unpacked it, not sure if it was from shipping or from the factory though, the boxes were pretty beat up when they arrived. Although I can understand it is a little challenging to handle 120lb boxes like they’re fragile. The blemishes are all pretty minor overall and the deepest gouge is hidden at the bottom so not the end of the world. The biggest legitimate flaw and gripe I have though is purely cosmetic. The Major Fitness logo that looks like a sturdy metal plate in the product photos? That’s a flimsy vinyl banner that sags at the top and looks like garbage. Even if you try to pull it tight while attaching the screws it will still sag. Even so much that the bag for the banner specifically warns you that it will wrinkle once it is hung up. Is it worth paying an extra $1000 for their other models that seem to use the metal plate? Absolutely not. But it’s still a little silly looking with the cloth banner. Of course you do have the option to simply skip hanging it up too if it bugs you. Overall I am super happy with the purchase and I am looking forward to more workouts with it!

Right off the bat all packages arrived within 2 days of each other except for the last box of weight stacks so wasn’t able to finish the other side yet. However I have finished putting everything else together. Here are the good - everything seems very well built, sturdy, solid. I can swing on this thing and it ain’t going anywhere. The pulleys are super smooth and have virtually no sound. Tons of accessories that will give anyone who’s new to these things plenty of different workouts. Assembly was quite easy except for what comes next. The not so good - packaging wasn’t horrible however the hardware package was a complete mess and required my OCD personality to take everything out and place them in individual sandwich bags with there respective labels so that I didn’t end up confused. One fault which I believe is partially the seller but mostly the delivery driver is the weight stacks boxes that have arrive had one damaged and leaking some sort of black powder (assuming weight beads of some sort). That’s the only “bad” about this purchase though. Overall, super happy with this and excited to use it. Honestly catching it on sale made this a heck of a deal. PS, this is a huge rack so measure multiple times to ensure you’ve got clearance especially pull ups. EDIT: customer service was extremely quick to help me with the damaged weight and get it replaced.

We recently purchased the Major Fitness Drone 2 Advanced Training Smith Machine System, and it has turned out to be an excellent addition to our community fitness center. Assembly took us approximately two days to complete; however, the extra time was due primarily to shipping and packaging logistics rather than the equipment itself. The instructions were straightforward, and the overall design made assembly much easier than expected. The build quality, functionality, and versatility of the system have exceeded our expectations. We were particularly impressed with the wide range of exercise options available and the overall value for the price. One suggestion we would offer is the addition of a wall poster or exercise chart illustrating the various workout options available on the machine. This would be especially helpful for residents and users who are new to strength training or unfamiliar with Smith machine systems. We purchased this equipment for our HOA community gym, and it is being made available to all residents. After personally testing the system, I can confidently say it is a well-built, professional-quality piece of equipment that provides an excellent workout experience. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to others looking for a versatile and high-quality Smith machine training system.

My wife and I absolutely love this smith machine set. My wife specifically wanted the cable machine that had weights built in. The cables are extremely smooth. The accessories, smith machines and the weight plates feel high quality. We thoroughly enjoy our workout using this machine. Zero stability issues with the rack sitting on workout pads. The assembly was not easy and I would rate 9/10 difficulty. The videos online are very instructive and it helped a lot. We spent about 2-3 hours for about 4 separate nights to assemble everything. The only complaint I have is the weight sticker have completely fallen off after about three months. The instruction said to clean the area where the stickers go to and I did exactly that with all purpose cleaner. The adhesive is just not that strong. I will probably reach out to the company and get some replacement sent to me. Overall an amazing rack, cable machine, and smith machine all in one. Everything we need for lifting 3 times a week. Highly recommended.

I purchased the MAJPR Fitness Drone 2 and overall I’m somewhat satisfied, but the process wasn’t perfect. It took me a little over three weeks to fully complete the setup. Each box comes with its own parts list, so I highly recommend checking everything carefully as you go. In my case, I was missing some bump stops, which delayed the build. Customer service was responsive and helpful, but replacement parts were shipped via FedEx and took about a week each time, which added to the wait. I originally bought this unit to try out the brand before committing to their B52 model, which costs around $5,000. After this experience, I may need to rethink that decision. That said, once everything was finally assembled, the unit itself is solid. The build quality is high, and the pulls are very smooth. For around $1,300 on Amazon, it still offers decent value—especially for a home gym setup. If you’re willing to deal with potential delays and double-check your parts upfront, it can be a good piece of equipment.

Update- After using it for a few weeks, really solid machine, works great, really like the landmine attachment more than I thought I would. Also the cable system is smooth but the weights and the plastic guides can drag on the guide rods and cause some friction especially if you don't evenly load plates on the plate pins. If you spray some dry lubricant on the guide rods it helps the cable weights move much more smoothly. Just put it together, seems to be a really great machine for the price but mine is missing parts. Would be 5 stars if all the pieces had been included in the box, will update when they arrive. Took 5 days to get the parts, overall seems a great value.

Overall this is a great machine for a home gym, it is possible to assemble by yourself. The packing for all the nuts and bolts is pretty terrible, had 100 bolts in every nook and cranny of the equipment. The instructions are also pretty poor, and doesn’t show you exactly where things go, just a picture of an unknown part and a general location. If you get lost there’s a QR code that briefly shows it. It also says “do not tighten bolts until fully assembled” which is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. I guess they expect you to flip over an 800lbs machine to get the bolts on the bottom of the frame, definitely tighten them as you go.
