Took me awhile to write a review but I waited because I had surgery and couldn't work out and I wanted my husband to be able to get some use. Plus we made some modifications and I wanted to include that for ideas for others. First off the black friday price was fantastic. I ordered this a few days before black friday because it was a great sale but then the price dropped even more. I reached out and they had no problem giving me a price adjustment seeing that I just purchased. So props to that. This rack is solid!. We didn't know what to expect never having had one. Its 2x2 and thicker and stronger then we thought. I can't even imagine what 3x3 is. We never put one together before so considering, it went pretty smooth. Several hours and a couple of mistakes but overall it wasn't bad. The pully system is wonderful and smooth. The ability to add plates its great. I don't know if I'll get that strong but its there LOL. I have used my 5lb plates and my 2.5 lb mini plates. It helps because stacks are all 10lb jumps after the first 10lb (thats 5 and 5 separately). So here are the things we modified...1. the plate holders. We didn't put on back because we needed to be close to the wall. We have 1 car garage and we use it. So we put holders on the side. Plates fit fine. However, we didnt like the loss of space there either because we needed to hang other stuff. So we bought a wall one. I posted pics. We may take them off the sides but for now we are feeling it out. I put all our bands stored on one side. 2...my husband made a step to step on for extra height doing deadlifts on smith machine. So he winded up making a cut out to use the same wood flipped on its side to give extra leg length on floor when rowing. Fits right over. 3... the most important modification....the smith bar being to low when not in use. We knew it would be this way but boy we hated it. I hit my head several times forgetting. So we did some research and found someone who did a DIY and we created something from there. We used 2 of the rack tubes for band exercises. We probably won't use that much but you can see in the pictures. Its working out FANTASTIC and super easy. Stores high over our heads 4...we bought an after market seat. I had my husband put it on and jump on for picture to show. It works great with major fitness rack so I'm happy. 5....the stickers for the plates were terrible. They didn't stay on. I used paint pen to write numbers on. 6...the Major fitness sign is a little cheesy. We thought it was more solid or metal but it was just a banner. Its slumps so we are gonna glue it to a piece of thin wood and mount. The more expensive systems probably have better sign. 7....1:1 ration is great. We have had a couple exercises with the stacks hittingthe top. Its something to find a groove but it will be fine. 8...we added an olympic bar holder to the rack for storage so that worked out! Just used a velcro stap to hold it out of the way. I think thats it but If I remember anything I'll update. Overall this is fantastic for the price especially for first time rack user. Hopefully a leg press attachment will become available if not already because I dont remember lol.

This is a great machine so far. Feels sturdy. Only thing I don’t like is the weights are the plastic weights filled with something. They still work great. I was just surprised they weren’t iron. This is a good bang for the buck! Smith machine, free weights, pulley system, and an array of attachments. The weight tolerances on the cables leave a lot of room for growth. With the 2in x 2in posts and 1in holes, it's very versatile for add-on's from any company. Ex: rack mounted leg hold for lat pulldowns. Overall, a great starter rack while on a budget and highly recommended!

People.. stop searching and just buy it! I purchased a similar system weeks prior to this one, and I was extremely disappointed, set it all up and had to return it, talk about nightmare! The pulley system on the other machine required you to add your own weight, which was fine, however, the pulley system itself was not smooth and would stick creating a break in your rep. The Major fitness machine is the complete opposite! Stacked weights, which allows you to just adjust a simple peg to increase or decrease weight, it is extremely smooth, and it also comes with a bar where you can add plated weights for heavier reps. I built this system myself and it took me about 5 to 6 hours. Set up is very straightforward, again the last system I purchased was like solving a puzzle and a riddle, with no labels on anything. This had everything labeled, including the boxes, and each box contains a printout of what was included in the actual box. Not only that, but the set up video is extremely helpful. If you’re a little stuck. In regard to setting up, I would say the only thing I really didn’t like was the fact that a lot of the screws go on the bottom of the machine, which was kind of weird but definitely doable, for that reason it might be a little easier to work with someone. Also, I would recommend an electric bolt tightener (I have no idea if that’s what it’s called), I did everything manually, which is probably why it took me so long. The system itself is actually a lot more compact than I thought it would be, which was a huge bonus. It just looks very clean and is sturdy. I have this in a spare bedroom and the other machine I sent back (other company) was smaller dimensions, but for whatever reason it actually looks like it took up more space than this one. With the major fitness machine I did notice that the pulley system was a little elevated so I had to push down on it to select a different weight, I reached out to the company and they emailed me back right away and they told me to just place the peg at the heaviest weight setting, which I did and I was just gone for a few days got back and it seems that it stretched everything out where it should be and I’m not having the issue anymore. I also had two less screws that are required for the actual pulley system but it appears the company will be sending me those screws. Now let’s get to the workout. Amazing! Literally everything glides so smoothly, it feels extremely sturdy, and you get that nice sore feeling you expect to get from a good workout. Also, I hate working out, but this system is so aesthetically pleasing that it makes me excited to get in here and work out! I got it while it was on promotion, but honestly, even if it wasn’t on promotion, I would say it’s still worth it. I’ve had so many systems in the past, there was one I had right before this one that I had for a few years that I loved, which was just a pulley system, and as I got more consistent with my workouts I just knew I needed a little bit more. With the major fitness drone two, I feel like I got exactly what I wanted; my old amazing system, but upgraded! Stay strong friends!

Been working out for 25 years, finally decided to build a garage gym, this machine is my one stop shop, I purchase a few additional attachments for it and there isn’t anything I can’t do that I was doing in a gym. Hard to believe you can pack this much value into one rig at this price. I researched heavily to make sure I got what I needed and wanted. This was the only rack with all of it and more, in the price range. Something unique about Major Fitness racks you don't see anywhere else is that you can get both weight stacks for the pulley system AND the ability to add plates when you need a bit more weight than the stack. The footprint of this rack is also incredible for garage gyms that don't have a ton of space. Major bonus to get all the attachments, which is a $200 or so value in itself. I have noticed Major Fitness developed more and more attachments for their racks to make them even more functional. This makes it a good investment. Looking forward to the development of the lat pull down extension for the Drone2. Happy lifting!
