I looked over many vests within and outside of Amazon, price being a factor as it seems there's a big gap in pricing and I'm a believer of "you get what you pay for", don't like wasting money on a cheap product. This vest is well thought out, highly adjustable for fit and utility needs, and most importantly it is built with very durable materials. The belt is very solid, the hooks at the top of the shoulders are metal and not plastic. It does have a left-handed zipper, being right-handed it does stink a little. There are two pouches that attach to the belt which hold mace perfectly well. I would like no velcro on the admin pockets, rather a snap as they little to no noise. I would suggest.. I wish the shoulder padded area either came with padding in all areas of it (not just the thick strip of material in the outermost column) - OR - stitch it with access to where customers can put padding in it. This is a fantastic vest for cosplay - I am beyond impressed! I wish the back was more sturdy, however. The zipper is okay...it's plastic, not coated metal, so sometimes it doesn't catch at the bottom. The mag pouches are easy to access, as is the handgun holster. This is HUGE on me, but I'm sure with some alterations and adjustments, it'll be fine ... show more

If you're looking for a "once in a while" tactical vest this is probably it. Most of the snaps, zippers, hoops, etc. are plastic (semi-durable plastic) and everything else is Velcro. Decently stitched, if you don't abuse it (leave it in the rain, sun, back-of-your-truck,etc.) it might last a few years. Polyester/nylon pockets are durable and well stitched and there are a lot. Only one pistol holster and it fits both my 357 revolver (6" barrel) and my G17 9mm snuggly. There is at least one pouch big enough to hold my LG V60 cellphone with case. There are many straps for adjusting the vest for "around" your body but no adjustment for "height". So if you are fairly tall (my top of collar to belt line is 24") then this vest bottom belt will hit you above the belly button....Not that big of a deal and you can adjust the waist line beyond 40" (these are made for short, fat guys?)... My only worry is the durability of the plastic zipper and stitching. If they hold up this product is well worth the price. ... show more

For the price, this vest is perfectly fine. The size and shape of each pocket won't serve everyone's needs, so you'll have to be personally flexible in how you use this vest. The one rib cage pistol pocket is pretty worthless. I cannot inset a G26, small Sig, or even a .38 6 gun in there (tried them all at an indoor range). Maybe it's good for holding a sandwich or small water bottle. The adjustment straps are fine, as you'll probably spend a good 30 minutes tailoring it to your body. ... show more
