If you're looking for a "once in a while" tactical vest this is probably it. Most of the snaps, zippers, hoops, etc. are plastic (semi-durable plastic) and everything else is Velcro. Decently stitched, if you don't abuse it (leave it in the rain, sun, back-of-your-truck,etc.) it might last a few years. Polyester/nylon pockets are durable and well stitched and there are a lot. Only one pistol holster and it fits both my 357 revolver (6" barrel) and my G17 9mm snuggly. There is at least one pouch big enough to hold my LG V60 cellphone with case. There are many straps for adjusting the vest for "around" your body but no adjustment for "height". So if you are fairly tall (my top of collar to belt line is 24") then this vest bottom belt will hit you above the belly button....Not that big of a deal and you can adjust the waist line beyond 40" (these are made for short, fat guys?)... My only worry is the durability of the plastic zipper and stitching. If they hold up this product is well worth the price. ... show more

I'm 290 lbs. 5'9" and I can fit into this vest (waist wise) with inches to spare. The problem that I have is what other reviews have stated. The shoulder straps are not adjustable and the vest runs too short. Adjustable shoulder straps would make this vest perfect along with a more durable zipper. If you are 5'8" or under weighing under 275, then this is the tactical vest for you! Well worth the money. ... show more

It's able to extend for big and tall men comfortably. The mag pouches are secure and fit two AR mags each and pistol mags. The pistol holder is in a great position as well. It is currently used for airsoft matches multiple times a month.

So, I'm using this for various reasons (hiking for the summer, tactical gear for a professional cosplay I'm putting together, etc.) And it works great for me! However, I will warn women looking into this vest. It was almost too big. There was a lot of adjustments I had to do on all aspects (sides, waist belt, shoulder straps) in order for it to fit me. I'm a 5'7 woman with about 160 lbs on her in her waist, chest, and thighs. Obviously, this being a torso peice of equipment, the thighs are irrelevant. But it took some adjustment. I would definitely recommend using some air of caution when buying this if you are smaller than me. But otherwise, it's wonderful! Plenty of room and pouches, and even comes with a built in holster.
