This might be the best purchase I've made in a long time. I'll start out by saying this is meant for a door that swings AWAY from the product so you can walk through the product using the magnetic opening and then open your door wiithout hitting the product. HOWEVER we have this on our front door which opens towards the product. It means we have to unvelcro the top and one side every time we open it but the WARMTH this product provides makes the little extra work worth it. The velcro is pretty strong so really the sticky strip comes off the frame and we stick it back on - it takes just a couple seconds. Overtime I imagine it won't be as sticky but we will figure out something DIY to keep this on our door longterm. (Worth noting I don't think the sticky part would fall off if we were not intentionally taking it off. Every part of this feels high quality and it even comes with tacks incase for some reason it has trouble sticking to your frame). All that to say if you want this on your door and it will swing into the product, you could make it work if it's worth it to you. OK - I cannot believe how well this works. Our front door was so drafty. We tried foam insulation tape, door draft stoppers, you name it - the floor by the door was still ice cold and you could feel a breeze. With the thermostat set to 72 we still needed blankets to feel comfortable. With the product on the door there is absolutely NO draft. If I stick my hand between the product and the door it feels like a freezer. It's keeping the cold out. The house feels like it's 75+, no blankets, no draft, no cold floor. I want this product for everything now: doors, windows, sliding patio doors, garage doors. Would absolutely purchase again.

I love my Velcro covers. They were easy to install, great durability, pet friendly and good value for the money. The closure ability has poor design. We have to take the cover off the door to open the door. I think these were designed for doors that open out. Our doors open in. I will rate it higher though because we live in MT and it cut my heat bill. It kept the cold out and my house was warm all winter. I’m going to use them this summer during fire season to keep the smoke out.

This product is nice quality and when hung you can feel a noticeable temperature improvement for drafty doors. However, I needed this for an exterior door that opens inward and it does not work for this application. The blanket is stiff so it gets caught on the top of the door when you try to open it and the Velcro ripped right off. It’s too bad because this seemed to be a solution to our draft issue but I’ll have to return. Would work great for areas that open out or for a sliding door.
