This is a really nice camera system for the money. I have had higher priced cameras and this system holds its own with them all. It is easy to install and has a good clear picture. It is solar powered or can be charged with the included wires. The camera and monitor arrived already paired and ready to use, and the instructions are easy to follow if you have any questions. . The camera has a very strong magnet that can be attached to anything made of steel. No drilling holes or stringing wires necessary. I set it on the bed floor of my truck so I can line up my gooseneck trailer hitch without getting in and out of the truck several times. When towing my fifth wheel trailer, I mount the camera to the top of the trailer pin box so I can see to line up the hitch. I installed a small steel plate to the rear of my fifth wheel trailer and can stick the camera onto it for use in viewing what is behind me. The magnet is really strong, so you don't have to worry when mounting in any position needed. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone needing a camera system. I also am pleased that the seller remains in contact and can answer any problems that might arise.

The media could not be loaded. This is an initial review from opening the box and testing out the product. In the video, the image/picture on the screen looks a little funny, this is just because I forgot to take off the blue protective cover on the camera lens. See the pictures for a better view! Things I really like: Ease of installation! The magnet on the back of the camera appears quite strong and reliable. The suction cup on the screen mount seems to work well - time will tell how that holds in the long term. Clear picture! The picture on the screen appears quite crisp and responsive, no complaints here! Useful features. It is nice that you can flip the image as necessary, set a sleep timer at 90s, 60s, 30s, or off, turn on/off parking lines, and adjust the parking lines in three different ways. The screen even has voice controls! Strong signal. I tested it out just sitting still in the driveway and moving the screen farther away using an extension cord, and it still worked well at 60+ feet away from the camera (with minimal objects/things to interfere with the signal between the screen and the camera). Things I don't like as much: When the camera is charging (either via the solar panel or a USB-c power source), the four blue lights flash to indicate charging, but then I don't think it is possible to tell whether the camera is turned on or not, other than seeing if there is an image on the screen or not (when the camera isn't charging, the blue lights are off when it is off and on showing the battery level when it is on). The camera has to be manually turned on and off each time you want to use it, or the other option is to just leave it on all the time, but I don't know yet how long the battery would last if you were to do that. This is a minor inconvenience paired with the benefit of a wire-free installation, but something to keep in mind especially if you plan on installing the camera higher up on the back of your vehicle/RV/trailer/etc. Things I have yet to find out: I am curious to see how long the camera battery lasts (both if I turn it off between uses or if I try to leave it on all the time). I know this will mostly depend on how much sun that solar panel sees. It's also nice to see in the user manual that the company offers a larger solar panel that can be plugged into the camera via the USB-c port to get to a location with more sun and/or just provide additional charging capability. The owners manual mentions that you can add a second camera to this system. If I were to do this, I would be curious to see how easy it is to change the view on the screen between split screen and either of the two cameras. Since the screen is small, I worry that you wouldn't be able to see either view very well in a split screen setup, so hopefully it would be easy to just switch back and forth between the two camera views.

We received our Magnetic Solar Backup Camera and promptly installed it. Since it's magnetic and solar powered the camera itself was overly simple to mount and maintain charge. The monitor screen was easy to mount on the windshield with the powerful suction mount and powered by an accessory plug. The screen is extremely bright and vivid and the magnetic mount for the camera is powerful and there is no concern of it coming loose during driving. The reception distance is over 40' and I can also use this camera as a wireless backup camera for the rear of my RV. I currently use it mounted next to the brake light on the cab of my truck to locate the 5th wheel on the hitch. Great product and I highly recommend it and I would purchase another.

When it comes to backup cameras there are a lot of considerations, wiring, mounting and distance of wireless/ wired signal. This backup camera is exceptional and has a lot of great features. There's no need for additional wiring or splicing into your existing wires. The camera is solar powered and can be charged up prior to use and so there's no need for a separate power source, built in battery is perfect for night time when the camera can't charge via solar. The signal strength is adequate for my length of trailer and with an additional antenna it would most reach further than description. The monitor is clear and easy to read, standard 12 volt cigarette lighter adapter, voice activated so no fumbling with buttons while driving. The thing I like the most about this camera system is the portability, I have 3 different types of trailers and it can be used on all of them. I have purchased 3 separate backup cameras from this company and this one did not disappoint.

The backup camera on my tow truck recently quit and I bought this as a replacement. The versatility of the magnetic mount allows me to place it anywhere on my truck for the best view for my needs. The voice control works great and is easily programmable to any wakeup word or phrase you want. The screen is bright enough to see with minimal glare in direct sunlight unlike my trucks screen. It helps me perform my job safely and efficiently.

The media could not be loaded. Set up is super easy. Camera quality is great. Sun glare is minimal to none. Signal doesn't cut out. Camera mount has extremely strong magnets. Video is great quality and additional cameras can be added. This is my 2nd purchase of AMTIFO products and they both work great!
