The media could not be loaded. I normally don’t write reviews but this magnetic lamp actually exceeded my expectations. Assembly was straightforward and only took a couple of minutes. The material quality seemed good (the lamp part is plastic - everything else is metal). The magnetic base is very strong and the gooseneck held the tight bend I put it in (see video). I don’t know how this differs from the more expensive lamps with similar designs but it suits my needs well.

Update: seller reached out to me and replaced the faulty light. They stand beside their products so I’m happy! Update: seller reached out to me and is sending me a new light which I appreciate. Will update once I get it. I bought this light July 7 and it’s dead on September 1.

Will not stick to my 8" jet grinder while running because the magnet is just to weak and falls off. Luckily my grinder is mounted to a steel table so it holds on ok to it. Would be alot nicer if it actually would hold on rounded surfaces like it shows. Lights almost to heavy for the magnet.

This is cheap junk, every time I try to reposition the base it starts to unscrew. Theres no way to tighten it sufficiently, locktite would be a big help. The wing nut that hold the top together also is in constant need of adjustment. Once you have it in place, if you don't touch it, the light does work. The magnet base is probably the best part of the light. If you are permanently mounting this on a mill or lathe, ya maybe...don't ever adjust it though.

I’m always struggling to get more light on whatever I’m working on, and this is exactly what I needed!! I have used this light on my 10x22 metal lathe, belt grinder, drill press, and welding table. And so far it has stood up to all the abuse. I’ve put it through! granted, I haven’t drenched it in cutting the oil, or kept it on the welding table when I was actually welding, but has withstood the usual wear and tear of some thing being dragged from station to station. The thing I like about this lamp more than anything else is, the wind area of visibility you get due to the length of the light source. It allows you to see more than just one specific spot at a time, and less repositioning of the light is needed. Compared to a traditional spotlight. This allows me to bathe a wide area in a luminous glow of visualization! I wish the electrical plug was a little bit longer, but that’s an issue I have with everything in my shop, so that’s not the lights fault. Also, it’s quite bright, but I feel like I could always use more light. But if you have been looking around for some thing to use on a piece of machinery, this is amazing because it has the magnetic base you can turn on and off, and it works great!! Highly recommend checking it out!!

The media could not be loaded. There is a dark corner in my workshop where more light was needed. When I saw that the arm or “hose” of the light could be swiveled 360 degrees, I had to buy this lamp. What I didn’t realize until I received the lamp was that its base is magnetic when the dial is turned to on. And as easily as it is to turn the magnetic force on, it’s just as easy to turn it off (see attached video). This is great because now I am able to attach this lamp to metal surfaces around my shop and it remains stable even when I accidentally hit the lamp. There is a simple on and off switch for the light which is located on the cord. I rather have the switch located on the lamp itself but the amount of light it gives off and the ability to magnetize the base makes up for the inconvenience of having the switch on the cord. There isn't the ability to dim the lighting or the ability to select from different types of lighting. This isn't a big deal to me because the light on this lamp is fine just the way it is.
