The big Knives and the one's that had no flat (Contoured) blades would not hold. I put small finishing nails thru the lanyard holes to keep them from falling. The blades stayed in place and were not loose but the magnets were not powerful enough to hold the knives up alone.

I suggest using 2 to safely hold your knives, spaces maybe 2 inches apart. Otherwise for any larger cutlery it's kind of unsafe. Otherwise works well. Looks nice too.

I like that I can hang them wherever vs my wooden block that took up counter space. I placed them under the coffee cup cabinet and they are right near the cutting board and sink.
