Holds my phone steady and the magnet strength is great - note: some comments state it is not strong enough which is true when using it without a MagSafe case. I got this for our farm golf cart that sees a lot of rough terrain. it has held in there so far! I wouldn't recommend leaving your phone on it if things are getting really rough, the magnet is strong but large bumps may dislodge your phone, but on a golf course, moderate terrain, or road it does great!
