I rarely take the time to write reviews but I'm so pleased with this product and the company that I had to do this review. First, the product itself: Typically, anything that needs to be installed in our house is handled by my husband. However, he recently had surgery and would be unable to do so for several weeks. I was apprehensive about doing it myself but after looking over the pieces and pictures, I decided it didn't look too complicated. It wasn't. In fact, it was so much easier than I expected. With the first lock I installed, I hadn't placed it quite right but since I hadn't fully stuck the adhesive down, it was easy to pull up and move. I was able to install all 8 locks in less than 30 minutes. I've had my 8 year old test them out and not only was he able to use the key easily but he pulled HARD on the doors and the locks wouldn't give. I love that you can disengage the locks if you don't need them for a time period. And I also like that they don't allow the cabinet to open at all so tiny fingers can't get in there. With the common finger latches, the doors are able to be opened a small amount which means that little fingers can pull on the doors and bang them over and over as well as risk hurting their fingers. Not an issue with these locks. I was extremely impressed by the customer service as well. A couple days after I placed my order, I received an email from the co-founder of the company. She was following up to ensure my order had been received and to see if I had any questions. She even checked back the following week to see if we had any trouble with installation. Talk about personal customer care. You just don't get that with large corporations anymore. I had originally ordered these locks for just a few "dangerous" cabinets like under the kitchen sink and bathrooms. But after the ease of installation and now seeing how well they work, I'll be ordering more to secure the rest of my cabinets. I couldn't be happier. ... show more

Was looking for a safe way to secure our cabinets but didn't want to damage the wood by having to drill a permanent solution. Came across this product and decided to give it a try. When I received the item, the first thing I noticed was how nice the locks and magnet were packaged. They came in a nice hard plastic container. When I opened them up the actual lock is made of what feels like a heavy duty plastic. it took me about 3 minutes to install the first one. Then about a minute for each other one installed. Depending on your cabinet hardware you might have to move the lock to the side more than you would think. I had a couple of concerns: 1. That they would be cheaply made and would not last. - As mentioned above both pieces are heavy duty and I feel confident they will last. Only time will tell 2. That the adhesive would not be strong enough. - I placed the first one on the cabinet and realized that I needed to move it down a bit. It didn't want to come off and took some force to pull it off. Very Strong Adhesive. ** I do recommend placing the small catch first and then marking on the cabinet where the middle of the catch is. These will help to align the two together. 3. Question over the Magnet that must be used. - My wife was concern that if this was a special type of magnet that if we lost it, it would cost us down the road to replace. Once I installed the first lock, I then pulled a cheap magnet off the fridge and it did not work on the lock. I then grabbed a bigger magnet and it did work but not as well as the one that came with the locks. We are very pleased with these locks and believe your family will enjoy them as well. I originally purchased 4 of these locks and one key just to try it out. The sellers are very helpful and willing to answer any questions. The instructions on the box are extremely small and not rather clear. I figured out how to install the product pretty much on my own however, the sellers did send an installation link quickly after I received the item. The concept is pretty ingenious. There is one circle magnetic "key". You install the "lock" on the cabinet and when you are ready to open the cabinet, you use the "key" to magnetically unlock the cabinet. You must locate the "key" when you want to open the cabinet. I don't have an issue with that because it has saved me so much time versus cleaning up everything my toddler has thrown on the floor. We were tired of drilling into cabinets and decided to give this a try. I love it and ordered more. I do have concerns once we are done with it about taking it off the cabinets. The seller said to pry it off. I guess I will tackle that portion when we get there. For now, it's doing what it proclaims... no drilling, keeping child out of cabinet, and easy installation. ... show more

I purchased these locks roughly six months ago to babyproof our new kitchen cabinets. They appealed to me because we wouldn’t have to put holes in the cabinets, and they were not an eye sore; however I can not recommend these. Two of our locks work well, but two others have not worked at all. One lock that under our kitchen sink almost never returns to the locked position after the cabinet is used. I cannot count the number of times I’ve had to sprint across the room as my toddler pulls on the door and it actually opens. Definitely not safe to think your cabinets are babyproofed and then your child is able to get into them. A different lock in the pack would NEVER unlock... with either key... used in every way I could imagine. I was so frustrated I actually broke that one off. Basically... I’m ticked every time I use these. ... show more
