MD Prescriptives - Magnesium MD - Highly Absorbable Dietary Magnesium Supplement with Glycinate & Acetyl Taurinate - 120 Capsules. My husband and I take magnesium regularly and have been for many years. We often use the powdered form and just put some in our morning coffee. There are a lot of different forms of magnesium, and different reasons to take a particular form. This product is a combination of mag. Glycinate and mag. Acetyltaurinate. A little online research, and you can learn all about the different forms, and what they do best. The list of extra ingredients that it doesn’t have is exhaustive, and I appreciate that. It does contain white rice concentrate, of which, I am not a fan. It comes in a glass bottle, which doesn’t matter as much with capsules, but we are trying to rid ourselves of plastic in every way possible these days. I may have missed it but I looked for an expiration date, and just could not find one. I would expect a mineral supplement to last a long time so I’m not too worried about it. I plan to use these mostly when travelling, because of the convenient capsule form. however these capsule are on the large size and if you have problems swallowing pills, then these might not be for you. There are a lot of ways to get Magnesium in to your diet, and while I think this is a good quality product, it sells for over $50 for a one month supply, which is just not sustainable for me.

Every time I dispensed the magnesium capsule, there was a mess in my hand of loose powder that was not supposed to be. It was loose in the bottle from sloppy filling of the caps and the bottle. This is sloppy and unacceptable practice for an ingestable product IMO. All over my hands every time I dispense the caps, even at just one per day I do not like the mess! That aside, the caps are easy to swallow and are not coming apart, just packed messily along with loose powder. They seem to work well, dispatching some potential leg and foot cramps before they took hold. They're supposed to be made in the USA and that is a plus. If the packaging and handling of the product was done more professionally they'd have gotten 5 stars from me, but this is an oversight, the sloppy capsule stuffing as if it's OK-but it's not OK with me to ship out a powdery mess like this, it's a waste of time cleaning it from the hands and kitchen counters when it shouldn't be present to begin with. Not going to recommend this one, but do recommend the mfg. check up on their lack of QC and oversight!

In case you don't know having magnesium bound to amino acids greatly improves it's absorption and generally means you can take higher doses without it causing overly loose stools. Also, most people are deficient in Magnesium as most of the soil that our food is grown in now is lower in magnesium than it used to be. This seems like a good Magnesium supplement, have been able to take significant doses without noticing ill effects when going to the bathroom, and feel like it's helping calm my nervous system as I expect a good magnesium supplement to do.

These magnesium supplements seem to work, but they aren't the best I've tried before. They work just fine, and do the job. The quality seems good and no specific complaints.

This is an excellent magnesium supplement that combines two highly absorbable forms of magnesium in one capsule. I have been taking these supplements for my overall health and because of their relaxing effect, which I believe works for me. A very good value.

If you need to supplement your diet with magnesium, there are tons of supplements out there. Which one works the best? It’s all trial and error, because the FDA does not endorse or rate medical supplements. So, how does this measure up? The pills are on the large side, so if you struggle taking pills you might want to keep researching. That being said, they do tend to slide very easily down my throat with a touch of liquid. The serving size is 3 capsules, which the manufacturer states is 113% of your recommended daily allowance of magnesium. They recommend one capsule taken with each meal. As with everything else, your mileage may vary. Their formulation also uses lesser-known and not as widely available forms of magnesium. Does this mean it works better? I can’t answer that. I can say that I’ve been taking it for a week now, and I do feel a little bit better. Magnesium as a supplement helps with many functions of the body, including quality of sleep and neurotransmitter regulation. It can also help promote a healthy blood sugar. Again, your mileage may vary. It appears to be working for me. So, if you want to try this in your situation—it is well worth a look!

I am taking Magnesium MD because the serving size of three capsules provides me with 475mg of magnesium in the form of magnesium glycinate and magnesium acetyltaurinate. The inclusion of glycine and taurine is intended to improve the bioavailability and absorption of the magnesium, a combination I appreciate. To be clear, I supplement my diet with magnesium because I know it can support muscle and nerve functions, metabolism, detoxification, sleep quality, digestion, energy levels, and heart health. Plus, this particular magnesium supplement is non-GMO, hypoallergenic, and free of fillers. Additionally, it is manufactured in the USA in a cGMP-compliant facility, all of which adds to my confidence about it. I enthusiatically recommend it, though I advise you to consult with your doctor before incorporating it into your daily regimen, because the actual effects may vary among individuals.
