This toy is by far our children's and our favorite toy that we've had in our 4 years of having children (technically not quite 4 years, but we've been getting toys for about 4 years). We currently have an almost 4-year-old girl and an almost 2-year-old girl, and have now had our 32-piece Magna Tile set for almost 3 weeks. Our girls have played with it every single day, multiple times a day, and we enjoy playing with this toy as 28-year-old parents, as well. :) We saw this toy at our local children's museum, but when our order arrived that was actually our first time to play with it. We were so impressed that we ordered another 32-piece set. If you are considering this toy and have already seen it or played with it (and like it), you may want to go with Magna-Tiles Translucent Colors 100 pieces, as it is less expensive in the long run to buy a larger set all at once. But if you just want to try it out or just want to start small, then you will likely still be pleased with the 32-piece set. It is a more expensive toy than some, but in our opinion it is worth the money. The set it durable and well made and will be a frequently played with toy. We also have WEDGiTS 20-Piece Starter Tote, and while they are somewhat similar in concept and mind-challenges, this is a far better toy as far as play possibilities for younger children. I read a few negative reviews that said that the children were uninterested in this toy. When ours arrived, we played with it with our children when we first opened it, so they learned how it went together by observing and playing with it with us. But now they need no assistance! :) I recommend (especially if the children are young) playing with it together at first so they'll get the hang of it. We purchased our first set from Amazon, and have Amazon Prime. The price fluctuates on Amazon, but you should be able to find it here in the 50 dollar range with free shipping. We bought our second set directly from the company, and with shipping cost included (ours also came with a free gift pen), the price is similar and the shipping speed also fast. ... show more

This is a really cool toy for our toddler. The magnets make it really easy to create different shapes. The 32-piece set comes with a lot of different options to play with. I even have fun playing with them with her. It's a pretty ingenious toy that helps our daughter explore her creative side. We haven't had any issues with durability or anything and since they're tiles, they're pretty easy to store. This is one of the best toys we’ve purchased. The magnets are strong enough to hold structures together but still easy for little hands to use. My granddaughter loves building different shapes and creations, and I love that it encourages imagination and learning. The pieces feel sturdy and safe, and it keeps kids engaged without screens. I bought this for my grandsons that are 16 months old, six years old and four years old. This is a great toy that covers many ages, so if you are searching for toys that all ages will love then this one is great! You can also order other packs to build on this one. Perfect in my opinion.

I had previously purchased Magna-Tiles for my 5 yo and 2-1/2 yo grandkids and they both loved them although their design abilities are very different. This particular set, which I gave them recently, was the best one yet with a larger variety of tile shapes. The magnets are strong and hold parts together very well and the tiles themselves have a solid feel and are virtually unbreakable. Hello, I'm a parent of a 2 year 5 month old girl. We introduced Magna Tiles to our kid right around her 2nd birthday. At first she was not super excited about it and tried to poke and fiddle around with the tiles for a bit but didn't develop a strong liking. We had to go on a vacation and wanted some less voluminous toys for her and ended up packing the tiles. The vacation gave us a great opportunity to show her how the tiles worked - what were the different shapes one could make, how we could build interesting 3-D structures and even integrate these tiles with her other play things (small dolls that can sit inside the structures she'd make). She quickly adopted it and spent a majority of our downtime during the vacation playing with the tiles. Once we were back home, Magna Tiles were her best toys. There are a few key reasons that make this toy a fantastic toy for young ones: 1. Innovative use of magnets 2. Sturdiness 3. Ability to foster imagination 4. Superb learning in both recognizing shapes and making new shapes 5. Travel friendliness 6. Really easy to clean These are on a slightly costlier side but one must consider the great value and longevity (2-3 yrs) that they provide when compared to other toys you are considering. We are planning to get her an additional 100 tile set as she seems to be ready for more and we will cut down on purchasing other toys to make this happen. These are so fun! I would say though that my 3 year old is very rough with toys and I inspect these quite often to make sure they arent cracked. Ive had them for a few weeks and already have had to throw out 2 pieces.
