I wasn’t expecting much for the price but it fit my 8 yo GSD’s huge crate (47x30”). She’s over 100lbs and I needed something more supportive and comfy for her. She loves it. I wish I had known about them last year when I purchased 2 “orthopedic” beds that while thick, are on the firm side. I recently rearranged and repainted my room. What I wasn't expecting was for one of my dogs to be completely freaked out by the rearrangement of where I put my bed. He refuses to jump up and bury himself under my sheets as usual, and seeing my pup lying on the floor and looking lost had me upset, which was why I purchased this bed. The bed itself is vacuum sealed in a box, and wrapped twice in plastic. When I unfolded and unwrapped everything, it looked much thinner than the photo. It comes in two parts, the pillow and the cover for the pillow. It's a bit lumpy and I think it'll sort itself out of fluff up a bit more as time goes on, but the thickness is definitely an inaccurate depiction. Outside of that, it's soft and comfy, and after putting an old comforter on top of it (for the sake of a familiar smell), he made himself comfortable and went straight to sleep. Excellent beds! I’ve had two for nearly 2 years. Our 100 pound dog and 45 pound dog love them. I ordered a third bed because the cats also love them. The covers wash beautifully. After all this time they look new, never losing their fluff and amazingly the mattress itself has no doggie odor.

I have a senior dog who isn't able to move freely on his on, we have to carry him everywhere. Every now and then he'll have an accident if no one is home to let him out after a few hours. I bought 2 of these to rotate in between washes. The waterproof covers worked well for the first month or two, but then we noticed the inner liner separating, unfortunately outside of the warranty window. Here we are now, 3 ½ months later and both covers do not even repell pet accidents. The actual bed inserts have both been soiled. If the waterproof covers were more robust and actually lasted, this would be a 5 star review. It is a thick and plus bed, but the bed thickness isn't as thick as the pictures shown, and the covers are a bit loose compared to the advertised pictures. ... show more

The bed has a remover cover which is really soft, and does has exta cushion like an air mattress.
