Description

The Magliner HMK119K2C5E aluminum hand truck has a straight back frame with 68" frame extension, horizontal loop handle with vinyl sleeve, extruded aluminum nose plate, 10" microcellular foam wheels and a 500 lb. load capacity. The hand truck's frame and nose plate are made of aluminum, which weighs less than steel and is resistant to rust and corrosion. The wheels on the hand truck have semi-precision bearings to help reduce friction and support the load. This hand truck requires assembly; instructions and hardware for assembly are included, tools for assembly are sold separately. Hand trucks, also known as two-wheeled dollies, are used to transport heavy or bulky items, especially in commercial product distribution and delivery. Hand trucks are L-shaped, with handles at the top, two wheels at the bottom and a small platform that touches the ground when the truck is upright. A load is placed on the platform and the truck is tilted back, balancing the weight over the wheels. Powered hand trucks have a platform that lifts the load up, or lowers it down, to reduce human labor. Some hand trucks may be convertible to platform trucks for moving large or cumbersome loads. I haven't put it to anywhere near the max weight capacity use but this is strong, somewhat heavy (frame is light, metal foot is super heavy and sturdy) and stair climbers work as expected on stairs, even open end ones. The price is crazy but it does seem like it will handle pretty much every hand truck job you could need it for and beats hiring movers to transport an object that is a little too heavy for easy moving and lifting, especially up/down stairs. One of the major annoyances is that at this price, I would either like it to come already assembled or with waaaaay better instructions. I have assembled almost every piece of furniture and utility item I own that requires asssembly and this won the award for the most cr@p instructions I have ever seen. Instructions do not necessarily show the pieces received and even for those pieces that are listed you have to intuit out yourself how some of them need to fit together.     • Great Cart but horrible directions!
So this cart is solid, lighter because it's alliminum, hauling DJ equipment it's very maneuverable for it's size. Not all carts are maneuverable which is very important in my trade. The bar makes it possible to load more and in one use, I am glad I spent the money! The only real issue was the building directions. They are too generic as this company has minor derivatives to this cart and it can cross you up building. So I suggest you look up magliner cart building on YouTube. It helped greatly. I won't subtract a star for that as the end result is outstanding! But Magliner, if your listening, perhaps make a set of instructions specifically for exactly what's shipped and you would greatly improve your costumer relationship. Some of us don't have the common sense in building things and time is valuable. ... show more

Easy to put together, Excellent construction and design. Lightweight yet rugged. The same cannot be said of shipping this item via UPS. This item arrived 4 days late of expected arrival date. Box was heavily damaged. Tracking showed that the package sat in a UPS warehouse in New Jersey for 3.5 days for no known reason. That alone was a game changer to me.
