Description

The Magliner HMK111AA4 aluminum hand truck has a straight back frame, vertical loop handle, diecast aluminum nose plate, 10" 4-ply pneumatic wheels and a 500 lb. load capacity. The hand truck's frame and nose plate are made of aluminum, which weighs less than steel and is resistant to rust and corrosion. The wheels on the hand truck are tube-type 4-ply pneumatic and have semi-precision bearings to help reduce friction and support the load. This hand truck requires assembly; instructions and hardware for assembly are included, tools for assembly are sold separately. Hand trucks, also known as two-wheeled dollies, are used to transport heavy or bulky items, especially in commercial product distribution and delivery. Hand trucks are L-shaped, with handles at the top, two wheels at the bottom and a small platform that touches the ground when the truck is upright. A load is placed on the platform and the truck is tilted back, balancing the weight over the wheels. Powered hand trucks have a platform that lifts the load up, or lowers it down, to reduce human labor. Some hand trucks may be convertible to platform trucks for moving large or cumbersome loads. The Magliner has manufactured the best-in-class hand trucks since the origin of the company in 1947, where it was launched in Michigan. "Mag" is an abbreviation of Magnesium, which was used to create to the tough but high-strength material. I work in the Food & Beverage sector, where the Magliners are ubiquitous. Note that if you haven't assembled one before, I suggest you have a generously sized work surface and read the directions in meticulous detail. There is a tricky alignment of four holes at the base of the truck which may puzzle you for a bit. I also suggest you wrap the handle with some type of tape. Personally we like using bicycle handlebar tape. If you don't your bare hands will accumulate metal residue - or just plan on wearing gloves. Magliner makes many different models, and the less expensive have smaller diameter hard rubber wheels. Spend the money and get the 10" inflatable wheels. So helpful on curbs, stairs, and other bumpy situations. Also absorb shocks if your cargo is breakable. ... show more

Mine came missing a piece and with a damaged box. i dont have time to return it. It probably itsnt necessary but for the price its a little disappointing.
