Small but perfect for NDS and old arcade games in Tate format. It is much more fun than it should be. Found that playing around with it and tinkering with all the settings was as much fun as playing the games. It is great in the hands and not too heavy to play on for a long time. Worth it just for the NDS, but this little guy has so much more that it can do. Highly recommend if you are considering it.

Looking for that DS like or Arcade like game console with no split screen frame issues that firs nice and somehow feels amazing in your hand? Get this. Screen is about the same size as a regular DS maybe a bit smaller but it’s so crisp and clean it doesn’t matter, it’s also light and sturdy. All buttons feel good man. I just recommend getting a small proper stylus but honestly it’s not really needed 9.5/10 times lol. Get a screen protector for when you put it in your pocket and you’re good

Dedicated nintend DS and Tate handheld it does exactly what it claims the screens a bit small but that's not a deal breaker as it works extremely well. The Android software is excellent I'm quite happy with this purchase and and thinking of getting a second unit as a present for my best friend as he is always asking me if I would sell mine.

I was so excited for a handheld to be able to play NDS games with a native aspect ratio! Until now, the best experience playing DS games has been.. to use a DS. While you can emulate on the PC, the lack of touchscreen is challenging. While you can emulate on a phone, the lack of external controllers intended for vertical use is challenging. What sucks about a DS is that I can’t sync the progress via Retroarch, so if I start a game, I am forced to play the entire game on that device. I was so so so excited for this console.. I set it up, and was disappointed immediately. Using retroarch, there are no cores able to run the my favorite game, Spirit Tracks at full speed. We’re talking 30% to 80% emulation speed, even while rendering in-game menus. I was also shocked that the game didn’t fill the entire screen….. why go through the effort to make a handheld console for the DS without the right aspect ratio? Also the screen is literally smaller than the DS I was able to use a native emulator that came with the device to achieve 100% emulation speed for DS games, but not with retroarch. Retroarch was the entire point of purchasing this device for me. I rarely leave bad reviews, but after several hours of gaming, I’m going to return this product. It: - Can’t play DS games on retroarch - Has a smaller screen than a DS - Has an aspect ratio mismatching the DS - Costs the same as a used DS My advice: hold out for someone to come along and make a proper DS handheld emulator, or just buy a DS.
