    • Outstanding all in one coffee machine at a fair price
This coffee maker arrived quickly and in excellent condition. The items were well boxed and padded, and all the accessories we're individually bagged and ready for use. We have used a Keurig K-Cup system for the last 15 or so years, and have been satisfied with the product, but not overly happy with the form factor or the lack of compatibility. We also had one of our Keurig machines heater die within just a couple of months of purchase. This machine is the exact same machine my wife uses at work and it does 10 to 20 cups of coffee every day and has lasted well over a year, so we are hopeful with our using this machine only once or twice a day, that it should last quite some time. The ability to change the volume that is dispensed is also quite excellent as our previous machine had three different settings, but they all seemed to put out a low volume of product. We have a rather small kitchen, so the form factor of this little coffee maker is very welcome. The only minor issue we have run across is that the large plastic mug my wife likes to make her coffee and tea in is just a bit too tall for this unit, even with the additional base removed. The measurements given are correct. You will want to use a coffee mug just under 6 inches, and it will fit snugly but securely on the thin built in base. Every coffee pod we have used to this point has made excellent coffee and the automatic sensing of the type of cup used is pretty slick and seems quite accurate. Do be aware that even though some of the pictures appear to show frothy milk, this unit cannot produce that on its own and will either need a Dolce gusto pod or a separate frother. Even though the ad seems to imply that the water container can be removed, we had some difficulty doing so, and decided to leave it connected. We'll have to do a little more investigation be sure we don't break something as we do eventually remove that water container to clean it. We have yet to get to the 300 brew descaling reminder, but it is nice to know that we will not forget such maintenance and affect performance. We tend to use reverse osmosis water, so I am hopeful any scaling will be quite minimal. All in all, this seems to be an excellent coffee maker at a very reasonable price. The 60 day return policy could be an issue if you were purchasing this early as a gift, however the two year limited warranty is pretty decent in the coffee maker genre. I do certainly recommend this to others, and will update my review if we encounter any issues. ... show more

The main reason I wanted this machine was honestly the pod compatibility. I like Nespresso style espresso drinks, but other people in the house use K-Cups because they’re cheaper and easier, so having one machine that handles both without cluttering the counter with multiple coffee makers was a huge plus for me. It’s also a pretty compact unit for how much it does. Definitely more apartment/RV/smaller kitchen friendly than some of the giant espresso machines that eat half your counter space. One thing I really like is the adjustable height cup tray. It also has this black rubber grippy that clips on top of the metal grate instead of just the usual exposed metal with holes. Your cup doesn’t slide around as easily, and it also hides coffee drips/stains way better so the machine doesn’t instantly start looking messy after a couple uses (like I don’t feel like I need to clean all of the components as frequently). Setup was straightforward. The touchscreen controls are easy to understand and the machine heats up pretty fast. It’s not silent, but it’s quieter than some pod machines I’ve used that have that “rev up” sound. You can also customize temperature and drink size which is nice if you’re picky about coffee strength. I did notice a slight plastic-ish taste on the very first run. Not horrible, but noticeable enough that I’d definitely recommend running at least a couple full reservoirs of water through it before making actual coffee. A descaling/cleaning solution would probably help too. The interchangeable pod system is honestly what makes this stand out. Swapping adapters was easier than I expected, and I like not being locked into one brand ecosystem. Just double check compatibility because it does NOT work with Nespresso Vertuo pods. Water capacity is probably my biggest complaint, but at the same time, this machine is clearly designed to stay compact, so I kind of expected that tradeoff going in. If you’re making coffee nonstop for multiple people, you’ll refill it more often than a larger machine. The espresso comes out with surprisingly decent crema for a machine in this price range too. So far so good. When I got it I wasn't aware that each type of capsule or coffee grounds option required a different slightly bulky adapter (included). They are easy to use, they just take up space in a drawer or cabinet.

Let me tell you what I like about the Capxsnob Magician2 Mini Coffee Maker. The simplicity of its design is what impresses me. Yes, it's a modern looking coffee machine that would put others to shame. It fits perfect in a high end home or a high rise penthouse. The LED touchscreen is easy to use and to read. Once you make it past a few coffee servings, you should have mastered the learning curve of daily use. It's compatible with Keurig K Cup, Nespresso Original, Dolce Gusto, and ESE Pods. You can actually customize your brewing flavors. The clear plastic container holds 42 OZ, plenty for a small to large groups. This coffee maker comes with 5 interchangeable adaptors. We mainly use expresso and regular coffee on a day in and day out basis. The taste is consistent and there are no variations. Depending on the adapter used, the coffee machine automatically adjusts accordingly. This is precisely what I mean by sophisticated elegance simple in design. We are busy in the mornings and we simply want our coffee brewed right. The Capxsnob coffee machine does exactly that. You can rely on it to do its job with delicious freshly brewed coffee. Also, it's easy to clean and maintain. A neat feature is the adaptor is a completely separate component from the interior mechanisms of the coffee machine. It makes it easy to maintain on a long term basis. You get a two year warranty simply by registering on the factory website and get a complimentary set of starter coffee pods. I see no negatives with this product. It has performed well for the short amount of time it has been used. First impressions are lasting impressions. I am impressed with CAPXSNOB's Magician2 Coffee Maker and have used the various pod holders, adjusted the temperature and fluid amounts on digital display, read the manual which is not a daunting, enjoyed many tasty brews. Reading the manual is a must. The digital display is fine and confused me with first use. I believe Magician2 is an upgrade to Magician1 by CAPXSNOB. "The Magician1 Mini is also compatible with LAVZ* A Modo Mio, K Cup, and Caffitaly (K fee) pods; however, their adapters must be purchased separately and are not included in the product package" where Magician2 comes with all the adapters and cost only ten dollars more. Magician2 has more adjustments (read: fine tuning) using the digital display, I believe, related to temperature and fluid amounts. I did not test a reusable K pod or know if they fit, because I do not have a reusable K pod. All the other adapters worked nicely. Cost is slightly higher than single pod type mini machines. Often when an item tries to be more than a thing, doing more than a thing, all things work questionably well, -this is not true for Magician2 coffee machine. However, because it can use many pods types and ground coffee there are many adapters which take additional storage space, including a coffee dosing funnel for the ground coffee adapter. Machine is attractive, of good construction, and arrived nicely and firmly packaged. Coffee maker is compact, sitting on counter where my Nespresso machine fit, previously. Water tank is to fill on or off device. Machine turns off automatically. Oversized coffee cups, even with the adjustable platform at lowest setting, there are two settings, can be nuanced in the machine. On-line consistency could use some help. I had purchased an instant pot dual coffee maker years ago. I loved the concept of being able to do the nespresso pod or the kcup depending on my mood. Instant brands no longer makes this coffee pot so I was looking for a decent replacement. This is much smaller than the instant dual. I appreciate that since it had taken so much space on my counter. The difference for me is that I can choose the temp, but also need to choose the different tray for whatever type of coffee I am brewing. The instant version just had two chambers and brewed based on what you dropped in the slot. I REALLY like being able to change the temp, because I like hot coffee. This brews a very nice cup. It was very easy to choose what I wanted and slide the tray into the machine. The only thing I see that stands out is that it states 19 bar on most of the materials included, but the listing says 20 bar. This is a great coffee maker, and the fact that you can seamlessly change pod types or just use grounds is great. Most others are one type only, like my Keurig. It brews quickly, and accurately, even showing a ounces remaining countdown as it brews. The only reason I did not give it 5-stars is the water capacity... We have 4 multi cup-a-day drinkers in the house, and this just cannot keep up, meaning constantly having to fill the tank back up, which is already a problem with our main unit, that holds 3x the amount of water as this one. This is ideal for a single person, a couple that drinks a cup or two a day, or a dorm room/office that doesn't get heavy usage. ... show more
