I think a lot of people have a misunderstanding of how glass works. It’s glass, and as long as it’s glass it will be scratched up. Any high rated glass will get deep scratches at a 6 to a 7 on mohs hardness scale, while things like pocket change or keys are between a 3.5 to a 5.5. Which will leave light scratches on the surface given the time. The hydrophobic screen will rub off, it’s not forever. All screen protectors that have these features will have the same results. The privacy screen works as intended. It’s easy to clean and to find cases to fit. My first one lasted 7 months until it finally cracked. But that’s to be expected, one good fall and angle on the right material will do that. However, it does a great job of absorbing the impact so that the actual screen doesn’t crack or get damaged. Which a screen protector should do. I’ve had no issues with screen sensitivity or face scan problems, plus for the price you get 2 of them. It’s a good value with an ease of use. It’s like a prince Rupert drop. It’s invincible until you inevitably find that weak spot. You WILL find that weak spot eventually. It took me two months. If you literally never drop your phone, go for it but a drop in the right spot will start a chain reaction that will leave you with a horrible screen by the end of the day. The application process is unparalleled and you’re almost guaranteed no bubbles and it’s amazing privacy but it has a weakness that will inevitably find its way to you and that’s why it gets 3 stars instead of 5. Update: The first screen protector cracked last than 24 hours after application. I didn’t even drop it farther than a foot but there was a massive crack from the left side of the screen all the way to the speaker. My phone screen remained unharmed. Dropping my rating to two stars as a result. First impressions: - Easiest to apply screen protector I’ve ever had. - the hydrophobic layer decays too quickly. - it’s not actually fingerprint resistant. Pros: - Privacy. ~23 degree privacy radius as advertised. - Easy application. Wipe screen, place phone in the jig and close, pull the tab, wait 10 seconds, pull phone out, swipe edges, peel top later. Very easy. Cons: - Hydrophobic layer decays almost instantly after application if you use your phone a normal amount. - Not fingerprint resistant. It’s like a fingerprint magnet, but no more than a typical iPhone screen. - Decreased Face ID sensitivity. It messes with the range of it and I can only guess that it’s because of the privacy stuff. Very good screen protector and the privacy it gives is great a bit misleading with the whole scratch resistant stuff I got a couple scratches from using it however it’s basically a very good screen protector vs the others I just wish it was stronger in the scratches area but overall 9/10
