We love this ice maker. It performs reliably and as expected cranking out batches of ice about every 15 minutes while on. Our refrigerator ice maker just can’t seem to keep up with our ice needs so we bought this tabletop unit to supplement when we are in heavy ice use mode aka cocktail hour (wink). Hey everybody knows when the ice runs out the party is over. Don’t run out. Get this ice maker and party on! Edit: well...unfortunately just over a year has gone by and our beloved ice maker stopped working. We diligently tried to troubleshoot by multiple cleanings and resets but as best I can tell it stopped freezing indicative of a leak in coolant line. I went out to our local Best Buy and picked up their insignia line version, paid a few bucks more and opted for the 2 year warranty.     • It starts making ice fast!
I bought this because my apartment fridge does not have a ice maker. It makes ice pretty fast, but because it is melting as it is made when it refreezes the ice sticks together. That is not the fault of the ice maker though. I still LOVE this thing it works great!

It makes ice super fast. But it is extremely loud. The ice cubes are hollow bullet shaped and when they are dropped, very wet. We find that we need to store them in the freezer so they adequately solidify. But volume, speed and convenience plus a decent price makes this a great buy. Just put it in a different room ... show more
