We were looking for a lighter weight throws for the living room couches for the summer months. Found these with 100% Egyptian Cotton. Happy it's natural fibers and feels cool when draped over us. Seem like it'll be wonderful for the hot Colorado months. The only drawback is it snags SO easily. I mean easily! My bracelet, dogs claws, I don't know what else but, I find snags everyday that I swear weren't there that I saw yesterday. It's frustrating as I really like the blankets and the cooling effect we get from them but, they can look cheap with the snags. I'll be keeping them and cutting the snags as I find them.

I love this blanket so much I had to buy one for the guest room. Light weight and keeps you warm in the summer and winter. It is a bit strange that it works as well as it does in Mid-west winters. I love the coloring, the size, easy to wash. The only down side is if you have cats, they love to pull on this blanket, so I do have some areas where the thread was pulled.

I do not recommend buying this blanket if you have a cat with claws. Immediately I regretted buying this blanket once my cat walked on it. Her claws pulled out threads as soon as she stepped on it. Other than that its very comfortable and I like the way it looked and feels. But heed this warning! ⚠️

What a great blanket! 100% cotton quality blanket for my bed is what I was looking for and I found it with this Madison Park Egyptian Cotton brand. It lives up to all those positive reviews others have written and those are the reviews that ultimately helped me decide to choose this brand. Those negative reviews about excessive lint? I didn’t see it after washing and drying it before using. How about those negative reviews about snags? This is a fairly tightly woven cotton blanket but snags can certainly occur if you let pets with nails jump on the blanket. Yeah, I guess those who rated it a one star ⭐️ were right...for not using enough precaution to avoid such an obvious danger of damage to a woven cotton blanket! Besides, if you do get a snag (and let’s face it, most woven cotton blankets will eventually get a snag) they are easy to repair. Just use your search engine! Some negative reviews referenced the blanket not being thick enough. Well, that’s a very personal perception and expectation. I was looking for a blanket I could layer by putting the blanket on top of my flat bed sheet and then put my down comforter on top of the cotton blanket. PERFECT for me! This blanket provides the year-round flexibility to use it as an added layer to keep warm during cooler temperatures and is just right when only a bed sheet and/or a light yet sturdy cotton blanket is needed during those warmer nights of sleep. Also, with my comforter having a cotton duvet cover over it, the comforter doesn’t slide off the bed when it’s on top of this blanket. More sleeping comfort! Don’t be swayed by some of the negative reviews. This is a great cotton blanket. Not too thick, not too thin, nicely woven and won’t just stretch when you pull on it to get more covering...the entire blanket will move! In fact, I’m so impressed with this blanket I’m ordering another color so I can seasonally mix things up. Oh, and the color? It was pretty darn accurate to the color in the picture! No regrets! EDIT 07/2021 - Update: It’s been more than three months since buying the khaki colored version of this blanket and have been using it on my bed ever since. I LOVE this blanket. As mentioned before I was looking for a cotton blanket that was not too hot or too cold and this one has passed the test during the hot months of mid-Atlantic weather. After living with this blanket for three months and really enjoying it, I purchased another one in blue. It arrived packaged brand new, no snags, I washed and dried it easily with no overly excessive lint realized and very minimal (if any) shrinkage, no pilling and super cotton soft. This Madison Park brand blanket is the best cotton blanket I’ve had in decades. So glad I found it! I’ve attached a picture showing both blankets purchased.

Top-quality cotton blankets. The weave is tight enough to not snag on everything, functional for year-round use - not so heavy as to be hot in summer, not so light as to be useless in winter. We use as our main blanket year-round and find them to be very comfortable. Have purchased this brand at other places and now own four of these. I definitely recommend. A word to those who complain that the dryer lint trap is full after a drying cycle: These are 100% cotton. Cotton sheds. The shedding lessens with each wash, but it will never totally disappear.

This blanket has a serious flaw. The threads are virtually impossible to keep from snagging or pulling, even with the most gentle of care. It's very frustrating because I love the look and feel of this blanket. It's extremely light weight and perfect for summer nights if you need to sleep with just a light and airy blanket on top of you. Unfortunately, the more you touch this blanket the worse it looks. Because of this issue I can only use this as a bed runner on top of my white duvet but every morning when I need to straighten it or refold it, I somehow manage to snag and pull a few threads. I will also mention that I don't have long or acrylic nails and pay very special attention when folding it. I'm not a sewing or fabric specialist but I have to assume this is a quality issue. I'm honestly afraid to wash it. I was hoping this would be a good alternative to my old basket weaved Pottery Barn blanket but not even close. I wouldn't recommend unless you are using this blanket for asthetic purpose and won't be handling often. Pros: It is soft and light and the white was definitely a bright and clean color white. I will give this blanket 4 stars for softness and 5 stars for being lightweight as those are not the reasons for my overall low rating. Cons: Awful quality of stitching and/or type of thread. The material does not hold up even when handled with the most gentle care. I gave the blanket 1 star for sleep quality because you could technically sleep with it but like I mentioned, I don't see how the threads would last if used nightly.
