I was looking for a quality, sportier looking collar for my miniature schnauzer puppy and came across this. I loved the look but was worried that it would be too big or too thick for my small breed dog. She was only 8 lbs at the time but I ordered a size 1 since I figured she’ll grow into it. I just adjusted the strap and it fit perfectly and now she’ll have room to grow as well. She has had it for a month now and it still fits great and is comfortable on her. It is the perfect thickness and is super sturdy. She is black and tan and I ordered the Vermont weekend color. It is so beautiful with her coloring. It’s exactly what I was looking for and I’ll definitely be coming back to this brand when it’s time to get a new one. Other reviews mentioned that because of the way it’s assembled the buckle will never lay flat. While I guess that’s true I haven’t even noticed it and neither has my dog. One thing I have noticed is that if you use the smaller d ring for the tag, it will always lay to the side and not on the chest as most dog tags do. At first I was mildly bugged by that but I got over it very quickly. My husband even commented that he liked it better because now he could actually see her tag. The buckle opens easily but stays very secure when closed. I give it a 10/10! Update: she has had this for almost 2 years now. Still same collar and it’s still in great shape. She has grown a lot since then and the collar still fits her. Buckle and everything still functions perfectly.

THIS COLLAR LOOKS GREAT, AND HAS A NICE CHOICE OF COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM. WE HAVE A PUG AND ORDERED THE SMALLER SIZE--I DO WISH THE WIDTH WAS A LITTLE MORE, BUT VERY EASY TO OVERLOOK THAT FACT BECAUSE THE COLLAR IS SO NICE AND HEAVY-DUTY. ALTHOUGH IT IS HEAVY DUTY WITH THE METAL BUCKLE, IT ISN'T HEAVY ENOUGH TO WORRY ABOUT STRESS ON MY DOG'S NECK OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. I LOVE THAT IT HAS THE EXTRA RING FOR DOG TAGS, AND THE LOGO LOOKS VERY CLEAN AND UNOBTRUSIVE TO THE AESTHETIC. THIS COLLAR WAS ALSO AFFORDABLE WHEN COMPARING IT TO TOHER COLLARS LIKE IT. I’m really impressed with the mental clasping system. It’s a really nice design and really heavy duty!!! If you have a medium or large dog I highly recommend the collar. My two dogs only weigh 6 pounds each and I hope the collar isn’t too heavy for them because I love it! The color is beautiful and the material used is woven and really nice looking. I can’t believe how reasonably priced this collar is. I highly recommend this product if you’re as concerned about the safety of your dog or dogs as I am.

I purchased this collar after buying their Made to Roam harnesses, which I love. I bought the classic collar in a size 4 for my 60# female APT. Her neck circumference is ~ 18”, which falls in both the 3 and 4 size ranges. I went with the 4, as that’s the same size Made to Roam harness she wears. What sold me on the harness and now collar is the metal buckles. I’ve bought cheaper harnesses that worked well for my dog and lasted years, but I always struggle with releasing the plastic buckles. I either can’t release the buckles at all and/or manage to pinch my hands buckling them. I have a connective tissue issue that affects the dexterity in my hands. Add that to cold and/or rainy weather and my hands are useless. The buckles on the Made to Roam harness and collar are perfect for me. They make getting the collar and harness so much quicker and easier. The collar feels very well made, as well as it looks great. The material is stiff, but I think it will soften after the collar is worn for a while. As others have mentioned, the collars are heavier than any other collar I’ve bought. For my dog it isn’t an issue, but I’m not sure for smaller dogs. I have no concerns that this collar will stay on my dog, even in moments when she is pulling to chase squirrels on walks. Another positive for me is how this collar is sized. Our prior collar was a buckle collar that had holes, like a belt, for sizing. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a hole that she couldn’t slip out of the collar and still breathe at the same time. The Made to Roam collars use a sliding buckle to size the collar, so it allows for a much better fit. I highly recommend this collar, especially for bigger dogs. I know they may seem pricier than other collars on Amazon, but these are really well made and user friendly. I expect this collar to last a long time.

Great quality dog collar. I love the color options. Material is thick and sturdy, which is appropriate for the price. The clasp is very strong. I also love how it has two rings, one for the leash, one for her tag. My pup isn’t a serious puller, but she has her moments. I typically use a harness for long walks, but she always has a collar for quick trips out. For reference, my pup is a 57lb lab, 1 year old, I purchased size 3 in Carolina Blooms. Fits perfectly with a bit of room to spare.
