To be honest I cut my whole palm on the very first thinking that the sponge was a cap for the knife. It is very good to cut meat products and overall it is a good product

This is a sharp knife. It cuts through things. It is not made to be a a clever or butcher knife. It is for fine cutting off softer materials. And it does it well. I have not had such a fine knife to maintain for a while. This is a tool. It has care needs to keep it in top form. One of the biggest is that it should be cleaned and dried after using. No soaking overnight. The knife has a good weight and the weight is balanced for hand comfort and ease of cutting. I’m going to need to relearn respect for my knives. A few warnings, starting with unpacking from shipping. I pulled the nice box out and felt a prick. Pull it out of the shipping box carefully. You can only guess what it went through getting to you. I got stabbed by the knife tip before I opened the box it came in. It had sliced through after losing a protective tip cover. This is a sharp knife. Though it is protected by heavy plastic clips to keep the tip and the back of the knife from being damaged, the tip cover had been knocked off and the top was hanging through the box about half an inch. This is just from rough handling after production. After you open the box, you will see several aspects meant to keep both you and the knife safe. So take your time, because it’s going to be worth it. After I discovered I needed to use care, I couldn’t get the box pushed open. My fault. As I was getting frustrated with the difficulty I was having, I inadvertently popped the magnetic clasp and it per much popped open. The box can store the knife for you. It is a nice touch. To the knife itself; it is almost amazing to take it out and hold it the first time. The balance is probably the first thing you notice. It immediately goes to its natural position when in your hand. Comfortable from the start. There is a soft cloth for complete drying and shining after use. I seriously was mesmerized, and sliced veggies for two hours, just for the feeling. This knife can cut a cherry tomato into over twenty slices!! For the price, you will have trouble finding anything close to what it will do for you. I love my new favorite knife.

I'm a foodie and kitchen knife snob . I have a nice knife collection that includes very expensive German knives . This knife stands up with most all the others . I like and recommend it .

It is a good chef knife 8". Relatively heavy and very well balanced. Fairly sharp. Packaging is nice although print on a box says that a different model is inside. Funny fact - text on box is probably an unfortunate translation, carbon is not a rare element! It says that the steel is German and mentioned composition is for typical German knife. Hardness is claimed to 56+ HCR. Wustoff knives are harder at 58 what I would prefer. Overall it is a good knife for entry level into quality knives. The handle is composite, I would prefer that uses rivets but still makes a good impression. Recommende for this price point.

This chef's knife came very well packaged and shipped quickly. The knife feels very good in the hand and is extremely sharp. No issues with quality here. I haven't had the knife very long so interested to see how long it stays sharp with frequent use. Good value for the money.
