This thing worked for one trip. But then I set it aside and forgot my username and pw. No way to reset it and the customer service QR code didn't work. So I reset the device, and it turns out the default name and pw don't work either. I'm locked out. Also, the QR code that does work goes to "buy access" options and the only option I saw was to buy access for 1 day at a time ($6 for 2 GB per day). Even if I could get it to work, it's inconvenient to have to re-buy access every day and not the best deal. I'll be trying something else.

This device seemed promising but didn't perform what is advertised. After spending 40-minutes and following all instructions I was unable to connect any devices or download any data. The router home page confirmed the device was connected and the free 1GB data plan was "active". However, I was unable to open or load a simple webpage. I reset the device, followed the instructions again and received the same result. In contrast, I was able to connect the same 3-devices to 2-different iPhones during troubleshooting, which suggests a problem with this hot spot and not the devices themselvest. A "hot spot" that doesn't connect any devices or download any data isn't much of a hot spot so I was forced to return the device. Disappointing.

I got this on May 25th. So it's been about two weeks. The thing no longer holds a charge and has to stay plugged in to operate. Support told me this was typical and blamed it on "continuous use." I have used it for fewer than 20 credit card transactions for a produce stand, and nothing else. They suggested I was using it to stream a bunch of videos, but again, this was just a temp solution to process credit cards while I work on getting more permanent infrastructure. It didn't work out of the box. I had to log into the admin portal and change some settings to get it to work. I followed the directions again and again, it took me 2+ hours and many reboots to finally get it to allow devices to connect. The device itself does not tell you when you are out of data or if it's broken in some other way, because it works very sporadically. I feel like the indicator screen should tell you what's left since it does tell you how much you use in a day. I found the data situation to be very misleading. They advertise 1 free gig a month that resets every month and that you can top off your data with small fees if you run out... It is logical to think that you could buy data in decent sized blocks and have them last the entire month. But no... If you don't use it *that day* you lose your data, money down the toilet. Why would I pay 6 dollars *per day* for enough data that would last me a week if it didn't expire at midnight? About all this is good for is an emergency back up with very limited data for comms in a natural disaster where power infrastructure might be down. I can get an unlimited data phone plan for way cheaper than paying 6 dollars every single day to process cards. Disappointed.

I love this hotspot! I mainly use this as a hotspot for GameChanger when scoring and filming my daughter's softball games. The battery lasts a long time, but I always keep it charged between games. I hang it on the fence and get so many compliments and questions about it. It's easy to use, and easy to buy more GB if needed. It's been very reliable for me, and I have had no issues getting signal. Its a great value for the money! Also, their Customer Service is really great. They are helpful and respond quickly. Really happy with this purchase.
