  • BLE barely works.
Color: 37 Key Black
<3rd update> after days of trying I finally updated to 1.10 firmware version. On my windows laptop it connected via USB and while it was updating (it had an endless circle going but doing nothing for hours) so I disconnected while "updating" then connected it back and it said "SUCCESS" So odd. You never disconnect while updating, but at this point I did not care and about to give up. It seems more stable now but I'm using Widi app to connect BT. WEIRD!?.......37 pro Extremely disappointed. Stays connected for a few minutes. Ble app doesn't work on some android devices. Updating the firmware SincoOTA work recognize until your pair but it work show up when scanning. No wonder this device keeps being "unavailable". It almost feels like bad reviews get wiped clean The only thing that recognizes it was midi suite. And then it's just cc adjustments. I had such high hopes for this thing. Total dud. ... show more

  • Cant load editing software becasue it is deemed unsafe by Windows
Color: 37 Key Black
I bought this to use mostly as a controller for a looper set-up, and had hoped to be able to use it to add a few key parts here and there (I focus primarily on guitar). Great number of features for the price, and it is unique as controller with some capability to produce some sounds internally without a computer or laptop. The problem is that Windows gives warnings when you access their site, and my defender software also gives warnings (beyond the typical warning that "this is not in the Microsoft store. The company's promotional videos do not adequately explain how to use as a controller without their software, and other reviewers have mentioned that the software does not work well. Another problem is that the sounds are not good, even as DX sounds and have some glitchy noises on some of them (I had a DX -100 and it had pretty decent sounds for that time period (80's I think). I cant load an update with software that I cant open and cant access the sound library they are supposed to have. The on board controls are clunky. Im debating keeping it as a travel keyboard, and just to practice without needing to plug in. The portability and battery are good, but I think I could get same capability and better sounds with a small toy keyboard. I went through all the sounds, and only found a few that could be useful musically. I aslo have the Aurturia mini25 which has excellent software for editing MiDI controls, and the keys feel better, but you are locked into a PC or tablet to get sounds, nice modern ones at that. If MVAVE would fix the software to comply with MS requrements, I would give it another star or two, taking off only for the crackling sounds. Bottom line, any of these controllers need software to update and assign controls for any practical use case. ... show more

  • M-VAVE 37
Color: 37 Key Black
The media could not be loaded. I’m going to give it 3.5 stars… Pros… Bluetooth and battery!! Just turn it on and you are ready to go!! (No cables or hubs or interfaces).. this is my main reason for buying it!! Small and portable! And 37 Keys! I can use 2 hands!! Yay! Cons… - keybed is Crap! When compared to other small midi contollers it definitely lacks “stiffness”, keys are not springy at all. I feel like they will break easily - pads… compared to other controllers definitely not the best, I do like how spread apart they are.. I’ll get misstriggers or a note won’t register on occasion.. for those asking, no LED feedback. - I don’t like encoders (I’m a knob guy), but they work.. faders are nice (kinda, lol) - programming… mod and pitch wheels, at 1st they worked, then completely stopped registering.. I had to use my girlfriend’s PC (won’t work on a Mac) to update the firmware.. which fixed the wheels and allowed calibration for each. The wheels definitely feel like a toy but they do work! - synth engine is ok I guess, fun to mess around with All in all I’d say the PRO out weights all the cons! Decent price. I might come back to update after a few months. I’m on 2 days with it ... show more
