if your critters are not prone to chewing on EVERYTHING as mine are , this would work just fine. However I have 4 of the most trying to escape chinchillas ,and they also chew on EVERYTHING, it did not work out. First time they were placed in it for bathing and cleaning cages day was a disaster. The ring leader of the 4 wasted no time in finding where to chew to escape, and it is not fun to try and catch chinchillas when you also have 2 mini dachshunds and 3 cats in the house.

Bought this for my Russian tortoise when I take him temporarily outside or while I’m cleaning his other enclosures. This works wonderfully for him! He likes to “scratch” at the sides (his nails are not sharp, quite dull really) and has never caused or been an issue. I’m not sure for other animals how this would work but for my little dude, it’s worked out great!
