May 2023 Review: Seller was very understanding and offered a discount to reorder the item once it was back in stock. I rec'd it and everything was included this time. I did 4 stars because - this is important - in the new kit, two pieces were dented making them unable to fit into the connecting piece. Fortunately I still had the previous partial order pieces - which included the straight poles, and was able to find 2 poles of the same size that did fit and so I was able to finally assemble the coop/run. I do like the item, it was frustrating to get the incomplete kit and then a new order with two parts that could not be used - but I will say, if you receive a whole kit/and one without damage, it is a great product. Plus I'm happy with the customer service. She was patient, apologetic, and it was nice of her to offer the discount for the trouble with the first order - you don't always find that in a seller. So 4 stars is my new review! I'm actually using the frame, with hardware cloth, and some additional modifications to make it a chicken tractor, and adding "flaps" on all sides that fold up for moving, down to protect against predators digging underneath. I'm also using a stronger insulated tarp with full coverage on the 'roof' and covering the back end and sides to give the chickens more shade and a more "enclosed" area for them to be out of elements when needed. Nesting boxes & auto feeder/waterer are going to be attached as well as roosting bars, a swing, etc, so I'm quite happy with the solid frame - if it had been done fully with lumber it would be much heavier and at greater expense and I think the metal will hold up well. I do also appreciate the anchor straps - I'll be modifying to be sure my covered chicken tractor doesn't blow away...but will have to make arrangements if we get a hurricane of course lol - but normally I'll just use the straps to anchor spots around the space it will be moved around in. Moving will allow them to free range safely and fertilize the land well. March 2023 Review: Incomplete kit. Will be disputing charge unless 2nd part is delivered in 2 days or less. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It took my sister and her kids almost 2 hours to get this whole thing put together ... 6 people who more or less knew what they were doing. Sharp pieces! My sister lost a tiny chunk off one finger. It will heal, but hurts like crazy. Arrived in a LONG box that was quite heavy. Walking along the ridgepole .. it is nice. But I underestimated the slope. It's super short on the sides. We needed a catio for our 3 cats. This is my solution. Cats easily climb the wire. But they could not get through the opening of the door. The flip for holding the door closed is horrible and flimsy. Needed a lot more zip ties. All pieces are there. Tarp is wimpy. I really expected much better and almost lost a star here. My sister took a time lapse video of the work .. We worked an hour ... then waited for the rain to stop before putting the wire on, which took them another almost hour. They are used to putting things like this together and called it, "slightly challenging" I'm so glad we had experienced people to help. ... show more

4 stars only because the zip ties are not going to last in the sun. I went to home depot and got some galvanized wire ties to backup all the zip ties. Other than that so far the chicken run has been great.

Buyer beware!! Based on the reviews I decided to purchase this product because assembly was not reported to be difficult aside from putting on the wire which I was prepared for. We have two extremely handy people in our home, so the issues were not user error, please read on before buying…. When we received the product only one piece had a cosmetic dent (the center of the door bar was slightly pressed in), and all pieces were present so we were optimistic and ready to knock out the project in an afternoon… It took us 3 days working off and on taking breaks because of the frustrations we encountered: 1) The holes drilled into the corner pieces for the bars to snap into had large burs on the interior of the slot preventing 90% of the bars from sliding halfway into place without A LOT of intense filing and silicon lubricant. 2) About half of the poles had too large of a flare on the tip where they needed to slot into the corner brackets so we had to use a hammer and/or pliers to smooth out the flare to allow them to barely fit. 3)The back top corner bracket was molded incorrectly with a large bubble of metal on the interior of the slot that was impossible for us to file down. Ultimately we ended up having to hammer a dent into the pole so it could slide past the defect. 4) When we got to the door installation we discovered that two pieces were about 1/2” misaligned from the drilled holes in the base of the poles. We triple checked the fit and the bar installation to make sure we did not install the bars backwards (there are holes for the corner supports on one end and then holes for the door installation on the other). The bars were installed correctly; the holes were drilled incorrectly and required use to correct them. 5) The bolts included in the kit for the door were BARELY long enough to fit, and with the misaligned holes it made installation even more frustrating until we realized the holes needed to be re-drilled. With all of the filing and the drilling for the door holes I’m concerned about how much we’ve compromised the galvanized coating and how much longevity we’ll get out of this product. This beast was a major pain to put together. The wire is flimsy and only held on with zip ties, no way this will keep out large predators. It does keep out the vultures, which is what we bought this for. I wouldn't buy it again.
