Started off a little rocky, the metal t is not compatible with all toilets. Mine leaked horribly. I had to purchase a separate plastic t as the company refused to replace or supply one. The bidet itself is fantastic, though I’m not sure what the point of the hot water is, I have not even used it.

Only reason I bought this model was for the heated water feature, but it doesn't aypply hot water. The hot water cable was connected to the hot water intake and this bidet does not even reach warm temperature. Not even after running for several minutes. I have hot water at my sink right next to the toilet and they are off the same supply line but this bidet will not produce warm water. Also it leaks constantly no matter how much we tried to stop it. This looks pretty slick looking, with nice clean lines. Sure the knobs are plasticky, but even the more expensive ones have similar plastic knobs. It took me a while before I could install this because I needed to set some time to splice a hot water line to run into the bidet since most bathrooms won't have a hot water line going to the toilet. The bidet is a passive hot water unit, meaning it has to have a hot water line running through it. It's not like the electric models that heat up the water as it goes through the unit. In my opinion, this is a more economical way to get warm water up there. It's nice during the winter time, when the cold water gives you an uncomfortable shock first thing in the morning. Just make sure it fits the shape of your toilet, and know that some toilets may need a washer, as one reviewer noted. Otherwise, these are generally easy to install. ... show more

I ordered this because I haver heard good things about using them. I am very good with mechanical things so this was easy to install. I do not think it would be to hard for anyone to install with the correct tools. I did not attach it to the hot water line as there is not one close to the toilet where this was installed. Also I am not sure how well the hot water would work because in my house the hot water takes a minute to come out of the faucet so I think the hot water for this would come out the same as the cold at first then warm up as you use it. I did have an issue with the install as the adaptor they give you would leak. For the adaptor one side gets a rubber gasket in it and this is the side that leaks. I found two things that could help you with the install. First do not tighten the side with the seal to tight as I found it pushes the seal down into the piece it is attached to and loses any sealing ability. Just snug it up and test for a leak then tighten a little until it stops. Also use a good amount of the pipe tape on the threads. These two things got the leak to stop and I have had no issues with it leaking since. I also installed the seat spacers and found the best way to get them to stick is clean the seat with alcohol then place the spaces on the toilet where you want them and lower the lid in place to mount them. This gets the spacers on a level surface on the toilet so they do not have any side load on them to break them loose when you sit down. Now on to using the system. It is easy to use with one lever controlling the temperature and one that controls which nozzle is used. You push the lever one way for the back nozzle and the other way for the front nozzle. Let me just say it is very refreshing and the water temp even though it is winter here is not bad. I will definitely continue to use it. Even with the hiccup with the install the unit works as expected so I give it 4 Stars. ... show more
