Because I really like them, this is my second LuxPRO PSD010BF. The first one was used to replace the analog thermostat in a pop-up tent trailer which had about 7° (or more) temperature swing between turning the furnace on and shutting off. The LuxPRO adjusted that swing to about 1°-2° swing, which helps keep a more constant comfortable temperature, uses less battery and propane to work the furnace. This second thermostat is replacing the analog thermostat in our new travel trailer. Super pleased with this model as I was looking for the smallest digital thermostat footprint. It's also nice because it shows what the current room (camper) temp is and illuminates when a button is pushed, which is excellent at night. replaced one of my furrion thermostats on my rv because it had 2, 8k furrion ac on Keystone cougar 24rds, I replaced the living room ac with the 18k furrion which then I lost furnace control because furrion does not have an answer for this issue built into their 18k system, i cut the 2 blue lines from the furnace and connected this thermostat to furnace and it works perfectly, as i have 2 ways to control living room ac with either the remote or the control panel on ceiling controls of the new 18k, and what a difference the 18k makes i can have it running turbo and can still watch tv and talk. ... show more

I'm replacing the same one that we purchased 8 years ago for our camper. It worked well and was easy to install; but continually fell of the wall when we were on the road. We eventually had to tape it onto the wall before we left. We could have also removed it from the wall, but that would only serve to weaken it. For my needs, EXCEPTIONAL! I have a Camplite 11FK travel trailer camper with a gas furnace and a fan. Until today, I had the original Atwood analogic thermostat installed. I swapped it out for this digital thermostat. Easy install—just two wires, a "white" and a "red." Before removing the two wires from the former thermostat, I identified each with the two labeled tabs provided in the LuxPRO box. After mounting the unit, I turned on my LPG and set the thermostat to 65. The thermometer read 44. In short time, the temperature in my small camper was 65. Shortly after reaching it, the heater and fan turned off. When I increased the desired temperature, the furnace and fan turned on again. By the way, my ceiling-mounted A/C is independent. This thermostat is rated at 24V and is operated by two AA batteries. It worked very well on my 12v camping system. I recommend it for RV installation where you have only a furnace and a fan. ... show more

I purchase this for someone that needed to replace a old mercury thermostat for a wall furnace. Installation took about 5 min. Install the batteries, connect the low voltage wires, install on the wall, set the desired temperature then turn it on. I would recommend getting a plate to cover any holes greater than 1 inch diameter to ensure the indoor temperature is accurate. As with any electrical including low voltage It is recommended to turn off the power at the box before working on anything electric. ... show more
