Step 1 just showed to attach 2 brackets but never said how high or how far in to put, no pre drilled holes. Some of the pre drilled holes were not deep enough so we had to scrape them out. Some screws were not long enough so we had to find longer ones. On the drawers, we had to measure to make sure it was center as there were no pre drilled holes, the same for the slats. The color was a lot darker (practically black) than the description. Looks nice, hope it holds up.

The pieces were poorly packaged and the wood was cheap, to be expected, but the pieces were bent causing cracks when they needed to be screwed in. The wood is thin and I don't think the bed can support anybody who isn't a child. 90% of the holes are not predrilled, nor do they give you the proper tools to screw anything in. Many of the screws broke or were too short. If I didn't have a kit of screws and a drill, I would have returned this item. The design and color are not as pictured, the grey is closer to black and the sides aren't as high. The drawer and lower bed aren't anchored, so they can slide anywhere and easily become uneven. Also, this is the longest project I've had out of all the build-it-yourself furniture pieces I've done do to the inaccurate instructions. Don't order. Return if you can.

1) pictures in listing show a much much lighter bed than the one that arrives. We received a bed that is so dark gray that it's basically black 2) instructions are not very clear, so really takes some time to put together 3) quality is ok at best. Not sure this will hold up over time. 4) fabric came with a gash on the trim of the trundle part that pulls out 5) several of the screws came already bent 6) what we thought was a cool feature (lowest part slides out for storage), as soon as we saw it, realized it's actually very poorly executed/designed, so will actually be a hassle more than anything. The drawers do not reach all the way to the back of the bed frame, and no bumpers or anything to keep the storage drawers from flopping around and sliding all over the place. Smallest bump in with toes as you walk up to the bed, and the drawer is all crooked, as you can tell by picture. So that will need to be constantly fixed to be straight
