The design looks great in the room. It is comfortable and we like how it opens up to king size. It was fairly easy to put together. As another reviewer shared, the size 8 mattress is the biggest you should get for the trundle to ensure that it fits under the top bed. The screws seemed weak. Nonetheless, we were able to put it together. I will update if anything goes wrong, but the bed is great so far. ... show more

This took some work to put together, but once it was assembled, I found it to be very sturdy. It does not feel like mail order furniture. It feels like I bought it at a top of the line furniture store.

The idea of this bed is great. However, there are a few things I did not like. Assembling the bed is not as easy. The slats come with pre-drilled holes on one side but the hole doesn’t go all the way through. And you can’t simply put screws through the slats and into the bed with a screwdriver. You NEED a drill, first to drill the hole all the way through and then to screw the slats into the bed. The screws that are provided for the slats strip SO easily. I wish more solid screws were provided. The wheels get screwed into this wood piece that has no pre-drilled holes. You need the drill here again. But when all is said and done, the wheels don’t really do anything. Sliding the trundle under the bed requires more effort that I had hoped for (again, the wheels don’t do much). Finally, the trundle just fits under the bed. If it was a millimeter or two bigger, it wouldn’t fit under the bed. The bed hasn’t been used yet, but I hope it turns out to be sturdy. ... show more

Super easy to assemble. Check all parts before assembling. Mine had a small tear in the corner which wouldn’t be a problem except that it is in the front. Once resolved it’s together and we love it!

Excellent bed, beautifully made. I will report back if it breaks at all. But for now I love it for my kids! Also no thicker mattress than 8 inches will fit in trundle. This is 8 and definitely can't have bed made up, only sheets to be able to close it.
