Install started at 5:15, and I finished by 6:00. It's 6:22 now, and I really like the look. I think it will provide the protection I am looking for while stowing easily. I will need to fine-tune the tension over the next couple of weeks. My biggest gripe is that the instructions do not mention two things that were fairly important. First of all, the carriage bolts and tension rods require a 7/16ths wrench. The instructions said 1/2" only, which led to frustration as I ran up and down from my second story apartment out to the street where I was installing the product. Not a huge deal, but frustrating. The Second problem is that there are two channels for the carriage bolts. This is not mentioned in the instructions, nor included in the illustrations. I chose option 1, but was then unable to close the cover, even on the lowest tension setting, so I had to roll it back up and redo the installation in the second channel. Now it works like it should at about 1/4 tension. Cost me about 15 minutes, so not the end of the world. Pretty stoked on the purchase, but installation could have gone smoother if the instructions were a little more clear/written for the product I purchased. ... show more

I just bought my first truck, I was a car guy for a long time but my recent job permitted me to get a truck to transfer materials and such. I wanted to get a secure enough cover for every day use for my tools and stuff that I keep in the back but didn’t want to spend the 900-1500$ For the aluminum roll up ones. This one was my 3rd pick because it was a little more money and it took a little longer to get delivered but I’m glad I chose it, it rolls up and locks perfectly, it’s strong and has bars that keep it ridged while it’s closed, one thing they didn’t mention in the directions was to make sure your tailgate is closed while installing the rails. Very flimsy, front retainers are manual twist clamps take too long to loosen and tighten for removal. Rear clamps spring loaded, last cover was a Lund with 4 lever locks. Best ever!

I really like the cover. The material looks great. It has more of a canvas look and doesn't look cheap like some of the plastic vinyl ones. The install is quick both the front and back have the same type of easy release latches. My only complaint is the packaging. I had to return the first cover I ordered because the box had a large dent on it and the frame of the cover had some damage. The replacement from Amazon arrived with minor damaging to the box in the same area as the first one but the product was not damaged. I would not order this product from any other company with a suspect return policy because it would be expensive to ship it back if it gets damaged. ... show more

Needed in a hurry so paid the additional cost of next day freight. Paid $319.62 plus $100 for overnight freight. Received as promised - should for what it cost!! Opened the box, all parts were there and in good shape. Installed the hardware and cover without issues. Unrolled the cover and attempted to close the rear rail. The latch would not close!! Upon investigation there was no spring return and the latch needed to be manually closed by pushing it forward with your fingers. This is difficult due to the design. Because I needed t have a cover on the vehicle that day, I removed the Lund product and scrambled to find another tonneau kit. I found a Bestop EZ Roll tonneau locally, paid a less for it (got it for $249.00). I installed the Bestop EZ Roll in under 10 minutes (hardware is very user friendly unlike the Lund), closed the cover without issue and was on my way. There is no doubt in my mind that the Bestop product is superior, not only because the Lund product was defective out of the box, but just the overall experience in acquiring, installing and appearance of the Bestop EZ Roll tonneau kit provided a sense of quality and top notch performance. I've since put over 5,000 miles on the Bestop kit and it hasn't let me down. As for the Lund kit...expensive lesson but educational in the fact that I ultimately ended up with a far better tonneau cover on my truck. I've also tried Extang and Access covers in the past but would never think of buying those products again and now Lund is in that category. Bestop's Ez Roll tonnau kit is the only way I'll go on any future tonneau needs. Lund cover will go on Craig's list, I'll take a huge loss and whomever buys it will need to find a replacement latch. I don't have time or wish to exend the effort of returning the product as it will likely end up back on a warehouse shelf somewhere and the next unsuspecting person will end up in the same boat I was. Cover fit well with easy installation. It really makes the truck look sharp. Packaging was good, even though the box took a lot of abuse from UPS, the product was undamaged. Overall construction looks pretty heavy duty. One of the best things I noticed when it arrived was the MADE IN THE USA on the outside of the box. That is not the case with many covers I compared. I have had it for almost a month and am very satisfied. I do notice some minimal rippling when driving at highway speeds but I think that is unavoidable with this type of cover. Lastly, this product has a lifetime warranty on frame and cover, make sure you keep your proof of purchase. I went on Lund's website and registered mine. ... show more
