I purchased this Used- Like New Tonneau cover through Prime. It arrived two days later in a plain cardboard box. After inspection I noticed one scratch about an inch long on the bottom of the driver side rail (scratch is facing down towards the inside of the bed when installed). I rolled out the cover on my kitchen table and could not find a mark or blemish. All the rail clamps were in the box (without a scratch on them) however I was missing the six clamp bolts as well as the two hex bolts/nuts to attach the Tonneau cover to the rails. A call to Amazon and a few minutes later I had a $12 refund to my credit card and this was followed by a trip to the hardware store to purchase the additional hardware. I now own a Genesis Elite Roll-Up Tonneau Cover which cost me $130. Knowing what I was purchasing, I feel like I did pretty well. Installation was very straight forward. As some of the reviews suggest, take a few minutes and Google the installation of the cover. This step is well worth your time. My wife, son and I had it installed in 45 minutes. Not bad for 13 year old and two desk jockeys with a socket wrench and open ended wrench. If you take your time you can save many dollars doing the installation yourself. It’s been on my 2017 GMC (5’8” bed) for several days. I ran it through the car wash and stopped in front of the blowers trying to make the Velcro come undone to no avail. It did not move. I also took a few minutes to inspect the now interior of the bed and noticed two small leaks at the cab end (around the two hex bolts) and around the tailgate. I had no standing water. It will be interesting to see if I have leaks after a rainstorm. Also, at highway speeds I do notice some up and down movement. It’s not enough to bother me. If you are OK with a little water leakage (at least during a high pressure car wash) as well as the up and down movement of the cover at highways speeds, this cover will meet your needs. ... show more

    • Not As Good As I Expected Water Every Time It Rains

All the reviews that I read before I purchased this Bed Cover lead me to believe that it would keep the bed of my truck dry. It Does Not! I ended up caulking everywhere that it attached to the bed walls trying to seal it but it still leaks. It helps that I have a bedliner. That keeps the load of the floor of the truck but my truck is a HD2500 so it sits high in the back and I get a pool of water in the front of the bed. Would have liked it to be better. ... show more

Install started at 5:15, and I finished by 6:00. It's 6:22 now, and I really like the look. I think it will provide the protection I am looking for while stowing easily. I will need to fine-tune the tension over the next couple of weeks. My biggest gripe is that the instructions do not mention two things that were fairly important. First of all, the carriage bolts and tension rods require a 7/16ths wrench. The instructions said 1/2" only, which led to frustration as I ran up and down from my second story apartment out to the street where I was installing the product. Not a huge deal, but frustrating. The Second problem is that there are two channels for the carriage bolts. This is not mentioned in the instructions, nor included in the illustrations. I chose option 1, but was then unable to close the cover, even on the lowest tension setting, so I had to roll it back up and redo the installation in the second channel. Now it works like it should at about 1/4 tension. Cost me about 15 minutes, so not the end of the world. Pretty stoked on the purchase, but installation could have gone smoother if the instructions were a little more clear/written for the product I purchased. ... show more

Fantastic cover and looks great on a GMC Sierra. Love that it’s not the glossy vinyl that most are made of. Went on very quickly probably 45 mins tops. I encourage you to YouTube the instruction video and you will not need to look at the directions. Also i is not have to undo the clamps to install they had enough slack to go on and tighten. Also the strap has to go under the back bed rail under the weather strip so as you can cinch it tight when it’s rolled. I didn’t realize that and had to reloosen the two nuts. Highly recommend this tonneau. Update 3/22/18 Just had the back strap come off the bar that locks near the tailgate. Looks to be cheaply held by just a hole. This strap looks to keep the bar tight when your rolling it up from the tailgate forwards. (See pic). Now when I try to roll it up the one side becomes out of align with the other. Somewhat unexpected seeing I’ve barely used this thing and only had it for 12 days. I’m sure it can be fixed but a nice washer would have not cost much and saved ME the hassle. Come on Lund! I have had this tonneau cover now for about a month on my 2017 Silverado. It looks great and was fairly easy to install by myself. It looks great, and when i drove it in pouring rain it kept the bed completely dry. It is a canvas material, so it is dull, not shiny like most of the other brands out there that are for sale. It is easy to adjust the tension, so if you feel that when you drive it moves to much in the wind, this is easily fixable. Overall great product and glad that i purchased it. Just make sure to watch the price on Amazon, I noticed today that it is selling for over a $100 more than i paid for it. Only issue that i had is with the shipping of the product to my residence. Both ends of the box were open, and there was a hole in the side of the box. All of the parts were there, but one of the tie-downs was broken. I contacted Lund and they sent out the replacement part within a week. Lund is a great company and I will continue to buy there products in the future. ... show more
