The media could not be loaded. Yeah. I paid this ridiculous price tag. Needed a metal functional metal locker for my Big Tex pipe trailer 6x12. It fits nicely up front. Pretty sturdy. Like the strut and latch. Fair seal. May replace it. Overall I like it.

Definitely stronger than it feels. I use two on my work truck for oversize wrenches and pipe wrenches. Love the low profile design and the satisfying latching when closing. I had to adjust one latch once installed but that's common with aluminum boxes. I dislike the lock. Once it gets wet it's hard to turn with the key. You could always install another lock, like electric or combination. All in all, it's a great box for wrenches, pry bars, or anything slim. ... show more

Got this for my roof rack on the adventure rig. Wanted metal so I could bolt it down from the inside and this desert sun/heat wouldn't melt it out on a trail. Overall its great. Could latch closed a little better but its still solid.

This box is light-weight as other reviews have noted, but that is exactly what I need. I wanted a box to mount on the tongue of a small utility/camping trailer. Not intending to keep anything of values, just a cheap jack, gloves, lug wrench, and such. Box is tight and reasonably secure from casual tampering, but it won't stand up to persistent attack. Again, that all fits my needs well. I like the lock/latch mechanism since you don't end up with a paddle-lock clanging around. Perfect for what it is but you are not looking at a gun box or vault. Just a light-weight tool box without handles. One nit that did not matter to me at all is that the mounting hardware is pretty pathetic. Plan to supply your own. ... show more

These were exactly what I ordered and look great on the sliding shelf I built in the back of my small pickup. The metal is a little thin but that's to be expected and seems sturdy enough to hold tools and such.

This “toolbox” is literally flimsier than a plastic version. I didn’t expect something like weatherguard product after reading specs on it BUT, I hopped it might be at least good for the price (MY GAWD THE PRICE). This toolbox is decent, that’s it. Don’t expect much and defiantly do not put somewhere where anything of weight may be against or on top of, because it will be the end of the road. I use this on the front of my trailer to hold extra straps, etc. I needed it low profile since the trailer is a 5x8 with 18” high sides. Works great for what I needed. Well built and operates smooth.

    • Defective lock - No response from Customer Support - Had to break into it to work
Purchased two (2) Lund 288272 Challenger Series Brite ATV Front Storage Box for our department’s Water Rescue vehicle. Both Toolboxes arrived in good shape and installed perfectly. Unfortunately, one box would not unlock after it was installed and loaded with gear. We couldn’t get back into it to access the tools. The correct key turned the lock cylinder, but it will not disengage the lock to open it. I submitted an urgent request for help on Sunday April 16th. No one contacted me until April 28th. Unfortunately, we had to drill out the lock mechanism to get access to our tools. This rendered the Toolbox unsecure and unusable, thus we uninstalled both Toolboxes. There were no tools or materials inside the Toolbox obstructing the locking mechanism. The lock itself was defective. The defective Toolbox was disposed of, and the second box is sitting in my firehouse pretty much useless as we need a set. It is quite disappointing that no one contacted us for nearly two weeks. Particularly given the urgency of my requests. And now my department has paid for Toolboxes which are unusable. And of course, I don’t hold high hopes anyone will follow up to make it right. Too bad.
