Dangerous- Does not work, gets hot & smells like burning metal

Machine does not turn on. The machine is hot to the touch and begins to smell like something is burning. Total waste of money AND dangerous as it smells and feels like it’s about to start fire. Horrible scam.

The advertised 12-sheet capacity is definitely a practical limit, not a suggestion.

I purchased this binding machine for producing instruction manuals for the electronic kits I build and sell. After using it to bind several manuals, I can say it gives the finished product a much more professional appearance than stapled pages or sheet protectors. The machine feels solid and was straightforward to set up. One thing I really appreciated is that it includes a full box of 100 binding coils, so I was able to start making manuals immediately without ordering additional supplies. The punching mechanism works well, but the advertised 12-sheet capacity is definitely a practical limit, not a suggestion. I tried exceeding that on one of my first attempts, and the machine let me know it wasn't happy. Sticking to the recommended capacity produces clean, consistent holes with much less effort. Once the pages are punched, inserting and crimping the binding coils is easy using the included pliers. The finished manuals lay flat, turn pages smoothly, and have a polished look that my customers immediately notice. My only real complaint is the instruction manual. The printing is extremely small, and I found it much easier to watch a couple of YouTube videos than to decipher the included booklet. Fortunately, the machine itself is simple enough that there's very little to learn once you've seen the basic process. If you're making manuals, presentations, cookbooks, or other documents on a regular basis, this is an excellent way to give them a much more professional finish than staples or three-ring binders. It's a great value for the money.

Heavy Duty Build, Pretty Much Ready To Use, One Size Coil Only.

This arrives super well packed and is on the heavier side. It's definitely not a light weight machine. It comes almost fully ready to go, you just need to attach the handle. While this feels durable and tough, the punching system feels a little rugged. The heaviest thing I've punched so far has been some cardboard, and it felt like it was too much almost. I don't think I'll want to punch a bunch of papers at once just in case, as I don't want to break it (I may be overly concerned). This has only the one punching style available, and you can't change the hole settings. I was hoping for one that I could change the settings on, so I can finally use a bunch of coils I already have on hand, but luckily this machine does come with a big box of coils too!! This is electric only for the coiling system, and it immediately starts spinning once switched on. There's not really any certain way to do it, but I coil the first two holes and then use the machine to spin the rest. It's super fast so you have to be quick to remove it or it'll fling right out the other side. It's seriously fast. So far, I'm happy to have it. It'll be great for making some custom coloring books for my children and some keepsakes!

Solid option to bind your own documents
This review is for: Lumoshine Binding Machine, 21-Hole, 450 Sheets, Comb Binding Machines for Letter, A4, A5 Easy to set up and use binding machine, even for a beginner. There are printed binding instructions, and page/cover size guides on the front of it to help you. Feels solid, decently weighted, like a good quality machine. I do not expect durability issues over time. The machine operates smoothly - align your pages, and pull handle down to hole punch, then place your comb and pull handle all the way up/back to open the comb, and pull back to center to close after you have added your sheets in. No issues or troubles with any of this in use, so far. The whole machine is fairly compact (while still being large enough to do it's job) and can be operated right on your desktop. It is slightly awkward shaped for storing, but the handle can be removed if needed, with just the twist of a knob/screw at the end of it, making it a little more compact for storing.

Super easy to assemble. Combs sold separately.
I sometimes have a need to have documents professionally bound, and it’s both annoying and expensive to be running to an office supply store to get this done. So having a binding machine at home is a big help. This one appears sturdy and well-made, and it comes in the box mostly assembled. The only thing I had to put on was the side lever, which was easy to install without really looking at the manual. You just unscrew the little nut on the side and there’s only one angle to fit the lever into (it’s a rectangular opening), and you just put the nut back on. This machine does not come with the combs so you will need to source those yourself. Therefore, when I get some combs in and have papers I need to bind, I can comment more clearly on the use and workflow. As far as I can see now, though, this looks like the same quality binding machine I had access to in grad school, which I’m happy with.
