Best Avocado Storage
Size: Pack of 2 (Large & Small)
Love these avocado huggers! This package comes with 2 different sizes which fits various small, medium, and large avocados from Safeway, Whole Foods, and Costco. I previously purchased a different brand of silicone covers; however, my husband disliked them, and found they would squish the avocado or other fruit or vegetable. I returned them and purchased the huggers instead. We have used them for some time now and they are definitely a keeper. They are easy to clean with a brush or rubbing a dishcloth along the inside of the rim; I do not recommend using a sponge to clean; Dishwasher OK. Design is great and durability appears as though it will outlast any previously purchased and returned silicone version, making it a much better value for the money.

I have yet to see a perfect avocado preserver
Size: Pack of 2 (Large & Small)
Like most people, I often (i.e. always) eat half an avocado and save the second half for later. I used to use a piece of plastic wrap, carefully smashed around the seed and the flat part of the avocado, where it would instantly shift, loosen, or whatever, at the slightest bump. Most other methods I could think of would require removing the seed, which guarantees more brown area. As a person who tries to minimize my use of plastic, I hated that I couldn't find a better solution, so this intrigued me. It does work reasonably well, even when the avocado isn't a perfect fit (which is most of the time). There are so many sizes of avocados, it would be great if this came in three sizes, the very small Haas, the larger Haas or that new variety I've been getting lately that looks like a small Florida avocado, and the large Florida avocado. I'd say this is sized for somewhere between the mid-size and the large Florida avocado. When I say this works pretty well, I mean my avocado stays fresh as long as it did in the plastic wrap even though the seal is NOT airtight in any way. It sits on the surface of the cut part, which protects it from oxygen as long as you gently place it in the fridge resting on the silicone.

Avo saver
Size: Pack of 2 (Large & Small)
Don’t fit every size well but when they do they work very well

Doesn’t work at all.
Size: Pack of 2 (Large & Small)
Doesn’t work at all! Don’t buy it. Both sizes do not fit securely and are useless. When I opened the avocado the next day, it was brown. Better off using plastic wrap. I’m really disappointed. And it was pretty difficult to wash. When I put it in the dishwasher it didn’t clean the whole inside. Too late to return.

Don’t buy the 2 size cover.
Size: Pack of 2 (Large & Small)
It works ok, but I was hoping it will be better. The avocado does get brown by day 2. The small size works perfect for avocados even in the large size. The other one is too big, I have never seen avocados that big, so to me, the large one is un necessary. I truly would return, and get just a single one, but I don’t have the packaging it came in.

Wanted to love these. . .
Size: Pack of 2 (Large & Small)
I REALLY wanted to love these. . . Sadly, they now just take up space in my silverware drawer or occasionally get used as a baby toy. When I saw these for the first time, I thought it was a brilliant idea! My now 1 year old LOOOOOVES avocado and eats them everyday, so I knew I had to have them. (By the way, these are cheaper on Uncommon Goods) I paid about $11 for this 2 piece set here on Amazon, which I think is too expensive. But I got them anyway because I was sure they would get used everyday and keep my daughters precious avocados fresh. Again, this a great idea. . . However unless the avocado is the exact size and shape of the food hugger, it just doesn't work. If it doesn't fit correctly, the avocado is brown by the time you get back to it. The smaller size can work, IF you have an avocado that is the right size and shape. Still not as good as I had hoped. And the large one has never been used. Not even once. It is enormous. I live in San Diego, and I have yet to find an avocado that large. And I have avocados in the house at all times. . . So, in my opinion, they should do away with the large size and sell 2 regular sizes in the set. . . Also lower the price by several dollars. . .And even then, they wouldn't get used all the time. These definitely need some work. I'm bummed they didn't work for me.
