A very useful light source that can be easily hacked
I used this to light a dim corner kitchen cabinet. I added a magnetic switch so it turns off/on when you open the cabinet's door. This particular light makes it very easy to do something like that because it's wiring and internal switch are easily accessible. They sit right underneath the batteries. I used a magnetic switch meant for alarm systems. I simply soldered it right where the light's own switch was connected. Easy - peasy. I then mounted the switch in the upper left corner (see photo). I bought the switch here on Amazon (search for: Normally Closed Normally Open Magnetic Switch Proximity Switch for DC 5V 12V 24V Light) The light itself is fairly bright (a warm tone). The light strip is completely encased in silicone.

I so wanted these to work- So I made them work
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. These just don’t work. I ordered 2 sets and tried more than one. The design looks great, when I hold the battery case, the lights are plenty bright. The design of the compartment does not allow the battery terminals to stay connected. It does not look like I just got a bad set, the design of the battery door is flawed. I fixed the problem by bending the metal contacts inside the unit with a screwdriver. They work now. The light are very nice, glad I didn’t return them. For the price, I guess I’m ok having had to tinker with them.

Major Disappointment
Update: these last about 2 weeks for us. Hoped it was the generic batteries but no. Calculated with new Duracell batteries with about 50 hours of on time. After about 10 they start to dim and after 60 they're dimmer than a night light. Very disappointing and dissatisfied. Wish I could return them but it's been too long. I love these LED lights. They stick, are bright, and really easy to install. These are over our sink and oven in an apartment. The only issue is that it began getting significantly dimmer after only a few weeks. The battery compartment is just awful and I had a hard time lining up the batteries correctly. After a couple weeks, the supplied batteries were replaced and it was bright again. I just hope that switching to Duracell will help keep them brighter for longer than a couple weeks!

PERFECT! EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED.
Con: short (36"- or so); Pro: soft lighting, nice price, easy operation, 3 pack, AA Batteries included, next day shipping. Love them! Check out my pictures. Got them to install on my front screen porch for extra lighting and decor. Also because since I no longer have access to the outlets on my front since adding the screen porch, I needed something battery operated. I added glue on the adhesive side for additional hold. That's just me, I do that for all things I want to remain attached. Well worth the price. I will purchase more of these sets as needed.

Affordable Purchase, Quick Installation, Great Results!
We bought a pack of 3 for $35. When they arrived a few days later, I spent a couple of minutes planning how I wanted to arrange them. Cut two of them to size and mounted. $35 and 5 minutes of install got us an instant "upgrade" to how our kitchen looks! And now that we have under-cabinet lighting, I don't know if I would ever go back!

Perfect When Used As Intended
After reading so many reviews about this product I'm not sure some people understand the intention of this product. Although it's capable of more, its best used to illuminate an accent niche or under a cabinet or shelving, possibly in a small closet, etc. In the picture you'll see how perfectly it illuminates and accents the shampoo niche in my shower. If you intend to do the same, install an apron that's appropriately 1 1/4" wide across the front edge of the top to cover the battery pack. As you can see it works perfectly for this application without any wires or need for an electrician. Because it's battery operated I don't use it as a primary light source, but instead to accent the space and provide secondary lighting. We love it.

(nearly) Perfect!
I needed to light a closet that had no light or electrical outlet in it. This was (nearly) perfect for the job. Let's be clear, it completely lights up the closet. It is super simple to install and is honestly worth more than I paid for it. The only draw back is also its greatest benefit... the brightness. If the lights themselves are in your line of vision it can be a drag. When these go under a shelf, or are able to be pointed in the same direction you are facing - rather than pointing towards you - they are perfect. I had to mount these on the ceiling of the closet facing straight down. That meant they were above my eye level. (see pictures) But I was able to fix that by putting a piece of Wiremold in front of the lights to keep it out of my eyes. Specifically I used "Legrand - Wiremold C10 Cordmate Cord Channel" also sold on Amazon. I want to be very clear. The Luminoodle is NOT inside the wiremold. I simply used the wiremold to hide the Luminoodle. The Luminoodle is behind the wiremold. And it comes with batteries!

Easy to install, easy to maintain
Used these to illuminate a vanity mirror, which had an old fluorescent light illuminating it. I didn't like the lighting produced by the old fixture. so I replaced it with these lights. What a difference! I ordered the warm lights and you would swear they are miniature incandescent lights, if you didn't know any better. Installation was a breeze, since the lights are on a little bobbin. Make sure the surface you are mounting them on is clean and free of grease or oil. It's easiest if you mount the battery pack/switch first. A word to the wise here: Make sure you don't mount the switch flush into a corner. You want to leave some room so you can pull out the battery back when you have to replace the batteries. You can also cut them to length if they are a little long, but make sure you cut between the bulbs. I used the whole strand and it was a little short, but they put out so much light, it really didn't make a difference. One final note: Do yourself a favor and order the three pack. An individual set is $19.99, but I paid $39.99 for the three pack, so it was like getting one set for free. I'm sure you'll find another use for the other sets, or simply give them away to friends.
