Very good for the price, great fit for odd sized windows
I live in an older house has really hard to fit windows. Most of them are only 36" tall with a very shallow 1.5" casing depth that's also a little wavy because the walls are plaster. The previous owner had installed cellular shades and I've always hated how the valance stuck out so far past the casing and how hard they are to remove for cleaning. I've never hung blinds before, but installing them was super easy - just mark everything out and drill 2 holes for each bracket. There's a 3rd support bracket included for longer windows but I didn't have to use it. There's a video that shows how to do all of it, but as long as you don't install them upside down it's pretty foolproof. Even snapping the blinds into the brackets was easier compared to the ones that were on there before. It took me about 10-15 minutes each including unpacking everything and reading the instructions. It was also great to be able to order a 48" blind, since most stores only carry a 64" in stock. The manufacturer even included a video with instructions to shorten them. Turns out that there are only a few extra slats at the bottom when they're fully pulled down and it looks ok, so I didn't even need to do that. I like that they're cordless as well. Overall they look clean, fit really nicely and operate well. I would maybe take a fraction of a star off if I could because one of the ends has a slightly rough cut and the top end cap doesn't sit completely flat. But I think that's something only I will ever notice. The same size blinds from the big manufacturers were at least $40-50 more than these, with a longer time to ship. I was able to have these ordered to installed within a few days. I have some more windows that I'll definitely be replacing the old cellular shades with these soon. ... show more

Great product, excellent customer service
Size: 43.25"W x 72"H Color: White
I have purchased MANY of these blinds in a variety of sizes and will continue to buy them as needed for as long as they (or I) exist. I own a 4 unit rental property with original antique (late 1800) woodwork throughout and SO many windows of SO many different sizes. Any size I need - these blinds come in that size (including many sizes I cannot find in any brick and mortar store in my area from any brand.) They're easy to install - I tend to install them by myself, usually standing on something that isn't meant to be stood on... I generally have on me only a pencil, a small level, a drill and Philips head screwdriver.) They do take a bit of muscle and patience to click into place on the brackets if you don't have a helper on the other end, but once they're clicked in, they stay clicked in. Because I use them in a pet friendly building, I love that they don't have strings - pet cats often make short work of blinds with strings. I love how they look from the inside and from outside. They raise, lower, hold position and tilt so easily. I've only ever had one very minor problem, reached out to customer service to ask if it was something I might be able to fix on my own -- the rep went over a checklist I used to ascertain whether I could effect a repair and sadly, no, but, as I said, the issue was VERY minor and with only one blind (of MANY I have ordered and installed) and I had already communicated that the issue would not merit a return or exchange regardless, but the rep still offered to replace it, which I thought was above and beyond and very nice. (I thanked the rep and opted against a replacement as, again, the issue was too minor for that.) I am a very satisfied customer and I highly recommend these blinds. ... show more

Perfect Fit & Easy to Install
Size: 28.5"W x 36"H Color: White
Very easy to install, with multiple mounting options. Very good quality and price, and fits me 28.5" W x 30" L window perfectly. Works great for blocking light with complete closure between each individual slat. And the cordless feature is so great. It's so easy to use. So happy with this purchase!

Hard but not impossible to install
Size: 25.5"W x 84"H Color: White
Item arrived a few days earlier than expected and was in very good condition. Packaging had to be completely opened as some small items were affixed to the inside of the shipping box which is better than having them fall out during shipping. I had read many of the reviews before ordering these, and even though there were several negative reviews about the installation, I figured I had the skills and knowledge to install these with minimal trouble. I guess the biggest reasons so many people have problems is first; the instructions are bare bones, as if it would have cost $20.00 a word to provide better installation instructions and second is the lack of experience with DIY stuff. So I went about to install these in an inside window mount configuration which is a little harder than an outside mount and after completing the install I can see where 90% of the problem is in getting these installed if you do an inside mount vs an outside mount. I wanted about a 1/2 inch space between the window and the blinds so I placed a spacer behind the mounting brackets when I marked where to place them and drill the pilot holes for the screws. This small gap between the back of the bracket and the window frame causes the bracket to flex backwards when trying to push the bottom of the headrail into the clips on the mounting bracket. I did not know the brackets would flex backwards until after many attempts to get the bottom of the headrail seated into the clips on the bottom of the brackets. After much foul language and a few attempts at bending the bottom of the bracket down to reduce the tightness without permanently bending the bracket I was ready to pack it up and send back to Amazon. Then I said to myself that I have the skills, ability to figure this out, and the determination not to be “one of those people” who complain and give up then send stuff back and write a bad review. So I started back at the beginning and closely inspected each step of the process and viewed the installation from as many angles as I could. As I did this I noticed the mounting brackets flex backwards (because I had made that 1/2 inch gap between the blind and window frame) as I tried to push the bottom of the headrail into the clips (had to put my head up against the window and look up at the backside of the headrail to see it). Eureka!! There is the problem! No matter how hard I pushed and whacked the headrail with my fist the bracket would flex back and not let the bottom of the headrail slip into the clips. So I put my spacer back behind the brackets as I pushed the headrail, and BOINK!, the headrail popped into the clips. Removed the spacer and all is well in DIY land. If doing an outside the window frame installation the bracket would be tight against the wall and not flex so I am guessing that everyone who had problems and gave up or used a sledge hammer to complete the install were doing an inside mounting. The window blind is installed and looks good and operates as stated by the manufacturer. I would have given 5 stars if the design engineers and instructions writing people would have made note of these type of issues. ... show more

Finally, a Bedroom Blind That Actually Keeps the Morning Light Out!
Size: 22.5"W x 36"H Color: White
I bought these blinds because I was desperate for a better solution in our bedroom. The blinds we had before looked nice, but they let way too much morning light in, and on weekends I really wanted those extra few hours of sleep. With two kids, any extra sleep feels like a luxury! These turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. The biggest difference is how dark our bedroom gets now. Once the blind is completely closed, hardly any light comes through at all. The first few mornings were actually funny because we would wake up around 9 AM and, because the room was still so dark, think it was much earlier! I also really like the cordless design. With kids in the house, I feel much better not having dangling cords around. The blind has a clean, simple appearance, and the built-in valance gives the window a much more finished look than I expected. The vinyl material is lightweight and easy to maintain, which is another plus for a busy household. More importantly, it does exactly what I bought it for: keeping the bedroom dark in the morning and giving us a little more time to sleep. If you're trying to darken a bedroom, especially if your current blinds are letting too much sunlight through, these have been one of my favorite home purchases. The difference between our old blinds and these was honestly huge. ... show more

UPDATED: Breaking at 17 months after purchase and installation
Size: 69.5"W x 72"H Color: White
UPDATED 12/13/2023: IN ADDITION TO MY THOUGHTS BELOW, I am updating to advise that after only 17 months of use, the blind blades are already brittle and breaking off. My previous blind lasted 10 years before it broke. I've downgraded my 4 star rating to 1 star. In short, I do not recommend this and won't buy anything from this company again, ever. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Unable to find a local business that could supply me with a vinyl mini blind, I turned to online sources and eventually ended up here in Amazon. Some of the reviews were mixed, which made me apprehensive about ordering this blind but I did anyhow. My review is below but first, tips for those who plan to install this without needing to seeing a psychiatrist. 1. For your own mental health, please take the mounting brackets out of the box and practice learning how it works with the actual blind itself while you're comfortably seated on the ground so you know what you're doing once you get those brackets installed in your window frame. 2. Now that you know that much, if your blind is wide (mine was 69.5" wide and 72" long), you should know you're going to need the middle bracket. Some smaller widths might only require the left and right brackets but given that the top mounting piece is a very flexible vinyl product (no, it's not metal), you're going to have a droop in the middle without the middle mounting bracket. 3. Speaking of that middle bracket, you should know that you cannot mount it in dead middle of your window as I did, which would have been most asthetically appealing. You can't because right in the middle of the top of the blind itself, they've mounted a metal piece, which appears to be part of the mechanism which rolls the blind strings back up inside of it. It's thick enough that it occupies the entire space within the top mounting rail of the blind, meaning you cannot properly seat the lip of the mounting bracket inside of it. You will need to offset that center mounting bracket you're installing in your window frame to work around this design flaw. 4. If it's a wider blind, helps to have a second pair of hands and eyes in seating the blind in the bracket. 5. Be careful pulling this blind up and down. The lower rail is made of metal but is easy to bend out of shape. Take it easy. REVIEW: It's disappointing that this company does not make the top mounting rail out of metal. It would be much more durable and would not droop the way an all-vinyl rail (this is all vinyl) will droop. The decision to put the metal hardware right in the middle in a way that was not modified so you could mount the middle bracket exactly in the middle of your window and snap the middle bracket in place is also unfortunate. I made it work by offsetting but as noted, with an all-vinyl top rail, it requires a center bracket unless you like a droopy blind. This is NOT the "S" shaped blind, which closes virtually all the way; instead, this is what I call a C shape, meaning that the blades of the blind do not collapse all the way on top of the blind below or above for complete privacy closure. If you're seeing total privacy, this isn't that blind. Some kudos: the company was prompt to get this custom cut and shipped. It arrived a full week earlier than promised and I'm glad to have some window dressing up again. The price was competitive and overall, I'm at least satisfied. ... show more
