  • Great flavor
This might be the best bargain and best tasting wood pellets on the market. I use it for all meats and it works great. Great smoke, great flavor, and burns just as it should. I’ll keep buying this over and over.

  • The best pellets so far
So I sold my offset smoker and got a Traeger Ironwood 650 pellet smoker. On my first cook, I used Traeger smoke pellets and they were THE worse! The cook on those beef ribs were great but it had NO smoke flavor whatsoever. I the did some research and found a lot of people on YouTube complaining about Traeger pellets and one guy said try Lumberjack pellets and let me tell you, it changed everything because these are 100% real oak wood pellets and not flavored pellets like Traeger's. This produce a very nice smoke ring on my brisket and smoke flavor was on point. ... show more

  • Best pellets on the market! Outstanding quality and performance
100% oak. No hardwood blends or oils. High density. Outstanding burn with very little ash. Definitely on the higher end of pricing, but we’ll worth it. One 20 pound bag in my Traeger Texas 34, at 250-300°F, will last about 6 hours at an outside temperature around 70°F. Delivers stick-burner flavor. The flavor profile is perfect for anything. Best part is that it keeps your pellet grill working in tip-top shape to help increase the longevity. I can’t recommend these enough. ... show more

  • These 100% pellets make an identifiable flavor profile, albeit very subtle
Most people couldn't tell the difference between the flavor of smoking pellets produce unless it's hickory. If you like your chicken, beef brisket or fish to taste like cheap bacon...go for it. I will not! Most pellets are mainly base/filler wood of alder or oak, which is the real flavor component users taste. Time and temperature of the smoke, as long as the origin of the wood will affect flavor, and opinions, more than anything else. These 100% pellets make an identifiable flavor profile, albeit very subtle The company tried to save money by shipping all 3 of my bags in one box, infuriating the mail carrier...and the packaging, nearly destroyed, bore evidence of this anger. Otherwise, a five-star rating would have been awarded. ... show more

  • Best pellets. Period. This Oak is top notch
Lumber Jack makes a great pellet. One of the things that makes them standout is their use of bark. For all their 100% pellets and the first wood listed in their blends the pellet is made with bark. Usually when these pellets are made the bark is stripped off. But the bark has a great flavor when using for smoking meat. Lumber Jack includes it. These also produce nearly no ash. Really an amazing amount of ash - or the lack there of. ... show more

  • Excellent Pellets
Great burn, clean ashes, definite flavor enhancement on my brisket and on another cook, my pork butts. Worthy!

  • Better than Traeger
I have been disappointed with the Traeger pellets and I wanted to try a different brand. After some research, I tried Lumber Jack oak pellets. There is a better smoke flavor, and smoke ring, with the Lumber Jack pellets.

  • Real oak!
What most companies don't tell you is that when they have "oak" fuel pellets its generally a mix of hardwoods mixed with oak oil. It took me some research to find this company and their product is fantastic, 100% untreated oakwood. It doesn't get much better than that! I actually amusing these to grow mushrooms so unfortunately I can't speak for the flavor, but knowing that it is virgin oakwood I would imagine that it is amazing. ... show more
