Works well. I setup a 3 times a day feeding for my 125 gallon discus tank. Silent when it runs. You can adjust the opening to control the amount. Simple to setup and use. It's great to be able to program the exact time you want the feedings as opposed to other brands that just let you choose an hour interval.

My cory catfish did not like vacation feeders, so this was a great find. I have it continuously plugged in. On the smallest opening I had to tape closed half of the opening so it wouldn't drop too many pellets. I attached the feeder to the tank wall, but in order to do so i had to reposition the tank's lid so the food can drop into the tank. Pros: 1. Easy to operate 2. Can feed up to 3 times a day 3. Option to operate on battery or plugged in 3. Works as designed Cons: 1. Inconsistent amount of dropped food. It drops anywhere from 3-10 pellets with my modification 2. Feeder opening must be modified for feeding smaller fish 3. Tank lid must be repositioned or modified to attach to tank wall and feed with tank lid on. The opening of the feeder is at the end of the feeding drum. If the opening was closer to the motor where the feeder attaches to the wall it would have been a better design.

This might be my third auto fish feeder on a mature marine aquarium. I do a lot of travel and thus it become vital. This one has lasted the longest, and the fact that it’s rechargeable means that it keeps its memory even when the battery is low. It’ll fit any size pellets And reloads easily without removal. I use a floating ring to keep the pellets contained so they don’t get pulled off into the overflow. Excellent feeder for the money.

I’ve had this feeder for over a year, so I’d say I’ve had ample time to try it out and give my honest review. I can honestly say that it has done a great job at feeding my fish. I originally bought it to feed my fish while I was on vacation, but it has since been a permanent fixture in my tank. When I first attached it to the tank, it didn’t sit well with the glass I had on top. To modify this, I 3D printed a mount that I could install on the light that is over the top to off the tank. It allowed the feeder to sit higher so I didn’t have to deal with moisture getting into the hopper and ruining the food and causing mold. This also made it easier to remove when I need to clean the tank. Setting the time and the number of feedings is simple; however the screen is a like small to see. But not bad once you set it. During the year I have had it, I have only had to charge it twice. And that is feeding twice a day with two rotations. So I can honestly say the battery lasts a long time. Adjusting the amount of food that comes out of the hopper is easy. But when you put food in, make sure to adjust to the size of food that is put in. If you add pellets, make the opening smaller. If you add flakes make the opening bigger. Also if you add flakes, make sure there are crushed or they will be too big to fit through the hole. But also make sure you sugar the opening so if the flakes are smaller, it doesn’t pour in the hole thing. Overall, this is a 5 out of 5.

Works great when it works. It worked well for a few months but now it’s acting up. We used it for vacation then ended up keeping it on there all the time, but it seems to glitch after it charges or you make changes to the program. Thankfully the charge lasts a very long time! After charging it the second time it went haywire and was randomly going off all the time, then randomly straightened itself out. Now we just changed the time and it hasn’t been working at all even though it shows a full charge and the program didn’t change. Not sure what to do, hoping it will straighten itself out again but worried about whether it can be trusted when we’re actually gone for a few days.

These aquarium auto feeders are the BEST evolution I've used... easy to charge (no worries of batteries running out of juice) with up to a month before requiring recharging, and, user can see how much charge is left for the unit. How convenient is that? Large drum to pack fish food into, regardless of flakes or nuggets of bits. Setting the time & frequency of food deployment is the simplest I've seen. My 9 yr. old grandson can set this unit up for scheduled feeding. These feeders have multiple options of connection, mounting or even taping to the tank. The hatch is more rigid (much better) for feeding quantity per serving and gives the user a "manual" feed button in case your fish seem hungrier than usual. The best news is you can leave on holiday for days or weeks at a time and not worry a bit of how well your collection / colony of fish are being fed, exactly the way you want them fed for both quantity & frequency.

Waste of money. This is good for a one time use. The battery lasted 3.5 months which was great. After the battery died, put the charging cable on. Never saw the screen turn on, attempted to turn the feeder on manually and nothing. Worked great for those 3.5 months but what’s the point of a rechargeable battery if it won’t recharge?
