This was a very simple & quick assembly. All you need is the allen wrench that comes with it. The stool is very attractive & a great deal for such a low price. I immediately sat on it after attaching the base, and the seat is comfortable! It spins so smoothly. I definitely recommend this purchase. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the hydraulic leg doesn't seem to permanently attach to the round base. It is definitely strong & sturdy, but if you have to pick it up to move it, the round floorbase could detach.
