I got this kennel for my 2 month old husky German Shepard mix. She’s small now, but I needed something she can grow into. The reason I went with this one and not just a cheap kennel is because she has pretty severe separation anxiety. I’m trying my best to train her out of it now while she’s young, but I have a deep down inside feeling it’s gonna be a lasting struggle with her. So with that being said I needed something strong and durable as she ages and grows. This things heavy, I’m glad it had casters on the bottom, it makes moving it around easy. The casters also have locks on them so it doesn’t roll around while she’s inside causing a scene. Assembly was tricky. I did it alone, having a second person would be beneficial and helpful. A tip for anyone assembling it themselves, get yourself a rope or string so you can tie the folding sides together while you get the top put into place. Otherwise assembly is pretty easy, just 8 bolts total that go on top and then the casters on the bottom. Everything else is already put together. So far it seems really durable. I think this kennel will hold up pretty well years down the line. The only issue I have with it is the latches. They’re kinda…meh. I feel like my dog will be able to figure them out pretty quickly. I’m gonna have to brainstorm a better way to latch it, because I know it’s not gonna last long before she figures them out. Aside from that, it’s great. I can’t really use it for her at the moment. I tried putting her in and observing how she did in it, and on the back side (opposite of the door) the space between the two bars on the end is bigger than the rest of it all. It also just so happens to be big enough for her to put her head through and get stuck. That was a big panic lol. Luckily I was able to get her head back through rather quickly. So I’m holding off putting her in it for at least another few weeks when she’ll grow big enough that can’t happen anymore. I’m glad I put her in to observe for a few minutes and didn’t just leave her for a few hours and left the house. That could’ve potentially been bad if I had.

These crates are the best ever. We have 2 of the 46 inch and 1 of the 38 inch. Our dogs are 62 lb boxer staffy mix, 53 lb lab bully mix and a 22 lb cocker spaniel. The big dogs chew on everything, but they have not been able to bust out of these. We foster from time to time, and have placed fosters into these crates. Huskies have not even been able to break out. My sister is looking for a crate as she is getting another dog. I sent her straight for these crates! She is very pleased and happy with how they have held up for our crew. As we have big dogs, these are big crates. If your dog is not a chewer, you can lay a blanket across the top and use it as a folding table. We have set cat beds on top, the cats lounge there as well. These crates are HEAVY! Be prepared to get help lifting them, however the wife was able to assemble both crates on her own. The dual trays make it a little easier to clean the trays in our shower

It all came packed together very well. I was able to assemble it by myself. It is heavy, the box weighs over 70lbs. I laid it on its side and put the roof on and then the wheels and stood it up, it was easier than struggling with all of the sides with it in an upright position. The instructions only have a few pictures, but they work well enough, and not that this matters to me, but they did come in English. Setup was surprisingly fast, it took 8 bolts and 8 nuts and it comes with all of the necessary tubing. The crate is half assembled in the sense that it is in a "pop-up" construction similar to how a wite crate would build, but the roof is detached, that is held on by those 8 nuts and bolts. The bottom of each panel has pre-done bolts that are welded together for a hinge action. They look small, but when assembled it seems sturdy enough. The wheels also lock and function properly and just screw in. The latches arrived in working order, they do stick a little, but in the grand scheme of things they look fairly sturdy. I like the addition of the food bowl door. The only thing I do not like, the tray is not one large tray, but two smaller trays. I would strongly suggest putting something under the crate if you are worried about accidents. I will update again if I have any issues with it, I just received and assembled it today.

This really is a wonderful kennel. It is very easy to assemble, it's sturdy, and maneuverable. It comes with three security clips (should come with four, as there are four latches). We have a four yr. old rescue GSD, which we've had since mid-May. He was found on the street, so there is no backstory to him. He LOVES his "apartment." HOWEVER.... he does have "trigger events," and they involve lawn equipment, usually, or vacuums (fireworks, too). This dog goes next-level crazy. In fact, his vet says it's "above his pay grade," and has referred a behaviorist. He absolutely destroyed his previous kennel (the usual wire one with the pan in the bottom). We'd secured all corners, doors, EVERYWHERE with 100lb zip ties. He bent the frame and wiggled out of it. His snout and nail beds were bloody and he broke a bottom canine. I came home to a blood bath - it was all over the floors, doors, walls in the house. That's why I bought this kennel. Anyway... he had a "trigger event" in the Luckup while I was at work. He broke the steel security clips. He bent the latches (we had to reshape them in order to open the door). He mangled the metal sign on the outside of the kennel. How is beyond me. He didn't escape, but he hurt his mouth and bloodied it. This by no means detracts from the quality of the kennel. I'm just saying that if you have a dog with SEVERE anxiety and your dog does not care if it hurts itself, you may end up with some unexpected issues. Regarding the sign, we removed it, used a grinder to remove / smooth the tack welds so Bruno - should he freak out again - wouldn't cut his mouth on those tiny, sharp dots. I got small, keyed brass locks to use instead of clips. I figure regardless of the brand, (steel or aluminum) he will break them, and the last thing we need is another broken tooth / dental work. Our lawn crew agreed to wait until I get home from work to do our yard. It gives me a chance to let him out to potty and to medicate / sedate him. He's now on anti-anxiety meds daily, so we're hoping we can get him out of his "loop" and help him feel happier and more confident in his fur (he has pretty bad separation anxiety in general, too). I priced the military grade "high anxiety" dog kennel - the one that looks like it's made for Hannibal Lector - and for Bruno's size, it would set us back over $1,500 (including shipping). But I see why the sides are flat with holes for air flow - the dog can't bite bars, the snout can't reach anything, and I'm guessing the gauge of metal is such that a very strong and determined dog can't bend or distort it. Bruno's left plenty of teeth marks in the powder coat / paint on this kennel. I don't leave a bed or towel or anything with him during the day. It would give him something to destroy if he gets upset. At night, though, he gets his bed and absolutely loves sleeping in there. This kennel is great because I can put place him inside during the day and he will be kept safe from causing great harm to himself. Now that the lawn crew has adjusted our schedule, we haven't had any issues, thank goodness, while I'm at work and Bruno hasn't damaged his mouth on the latches or locks. If you have an escape artist with no anxiety issues, this is definitely the dream kennel you want, hands down.

This cage was very easy to assemble and can be used with or without the wheels. I decided not to use the wheels. The cage would be great for a medium breed or a large breed dog with no anxiety or behavioral issues. I do NOT recommend it for a large breed with separation anxiety issues. The bars are hollow, and the cage arrived with 2 screws missing from the kit. adopted a Pyrenees mix with severe separation anxiety issues from the local pound. The first time I put him in the cage so I could go to work, he busted out of the side of the cage. I contacted the vendor to let them know what happened and that the screws I tried to use in place of the missing one weren't the right size oh, and I sent pictures for their convenience. They were very responsive and sent a new cage without wanting the old one back. The problem was it took several days before the new cage arrived due to the holidays so I had to find a way to keep the dog in the old cage. Thankfully I was off work every couple of days because of the holidays, but it was still an inconvenience to figure out what to do with my dog because the cage was broken. I received the replacement cage at no charge and with all Hardware included. It wasn't long before my dog busted out of that one as well, and this time he actually broke the bars on the side of the cage. Again the vendor was very responsive and refunded my money so that I can try to get I'm more sturdy cage that does not have hollow bars, until my dog can get accustomed to his new surroundings and not have the anxiety issues. Again, I do not recommend this cage for a large breed dog especially one with anxiety issues if you plan to leave the dog alone in the cage while you go away from the house for any length of time, because the cage is not sturdy enough or heavy duty in that to contain a large breed dog with separation anxiety. However, it is a nice cage for medium breed and if there are any issues the vendor is quick to respond.

I've had this crate for about 3 years now and have only just now gotten to reviewing it because I was in the process of getting a new bed for it! I love this thing. Short review: yes it's strong, yes it's sturdy, and yes, it's great for anxious and large dogs. I haven't had any issues with the latches, and it's built in a way that makes it hard for the dog to hurt themself on, even if they try tearing it up. I don't remember how hard or easy it was to set up, but I did it on my own using the instructions and I don't think I had issues with it. Long review: I have a dense and strong pitty/GSD mix who I adopted during lockdown. He used to have a metal wire crate, but one day when we were testing out leaving him on his own (I went to run errands, my partner was taking a shower) he tore the thing apart. It was a crate that survived 10 years of my mom's lab/pit mix, and he warped it within 15 minutes (see first picture.) In order to keep him from hurting himself, I ended up researching and buying this crate. He adores this thing, and so do I. It's survived separation anxiety for anything from 1 hour to a full 4-5 hours. He prefers sleeping in it to sleeping on my bed. It's his safe space! He looks a little nervous in the second picture, but that's because I gave him a bully stick and he's anxious to go eat it but I made him pose for the picture first. Also, it's worth noting that on top of the crate in that picture is my 20 lbs weighted blanket, among other things, and it's not even making a dent in the bars. My only qualm with it is that it's a bit smaller on the inside than it is on the outside, due to the thickness of the bars. But that's a small price to pay for a happy space for my dog.
