I had no problem installing this and had it up in no time at all. The instructions were pretty clear, and I've installed things like this before, so there were no hiccups. It blocks the light well and does its job. No retraction problems at all, and it seems to be a nicely working device.

I found that this blind was easy to install. I had no issues as the hardware for the inside mount was simple to put up. I watched the video and it was no problem to do this fairly quickly, and the blind was up in no time. The blind is easy to pull up or down with the tab that comes with it. I had no problems with the slight gap at the top as I have always had a valence on this window. I chose this room darkening roller shade because this window is between my washer and dryer in my laundry room and at times, especially in the summer the sun can be too bright with the direction the window faces. These cordless blinds were easy to install and look great too. The fabric shade is thick and the rolling mechanism is smooth and easy to use. I like that I'm able to vertically position the blinds to be as open or closed as I like with just a simple pull down or push up of the bottom tab. The only thing I wish it had was a cover to hide the gap at the top between the mount and the retractable mechanism, but I was able to hide it fairly well using a decorative curtain valance instead. Overall, I'm happy with the look and performance of these blinds and think it's reasonably priced as well for what it is. ... show more

I believe this could have been put up by one person alone but the length of it with my short arms being 5’2, I needed assistance. Make sure to mark your spots because ours came out a little crooked just my 2 millimeters lol. But hey it still works. It does block out the light for the most part.
