For someone who is not handy at all and does not even own a screw driver this bed was easy to assemble on my own (took me about 1.5 hours). The bed showed up very quick. The box was ripped open when it showed up at my door so I was a little nervous there would be some damage to the actual bed but there really wasn’t. I was trying to replicate a designer look that included a very expensive black bed, this was the perfect compromise! It is sturdy and looks great. The only thing to be aware of is that the mattress sits on top of the frame, so you really should get a 12 inch mattress max if you want the more modern lower profile look. My mattress is 14 inches and I really would've preferred the 10 or 12 inch. Also I like to tuck bedding and the mattress sitting right ton top makes it a bitter harder. This product not only arrived way late, meaning my wife and I had to sleep with our mattress on the floor for a week. But also, completely beat to crap. All the backing had major tears, screws rolling around in the box which also had holes (it’ll be a miracle if I’m not missing anything). This doesn’t even look like the shipper caused it because as you can see in the photo the bag is cut open not ripped open. Please go buy something else and save your money. ... show more

Bought two of these and I am super pleased. The parts were packaged separately, the directions were easy to follow, the beds easy to assemble. They seem sturdy and are very attractive. The charcoal color is very dark. I wasn’t expecting it to be so dark, but I like it.

We purchased the California King in Pearl. I wanted something to give a finished look to our adjustable bed frame and mattress and this worked perfect! We just omitted the slats and the cross rails. It was straight forward to put together. Certainly meets our purposes at a great price point.

The part that attaches to the headboard broke on one side within a week of using the bed collapsing in that corner. The screws stripped the cheap wood. My husband bought brackets and fixed/reinforced both sides. Now one of the slats broke where it screws into the sideboard. We have had this bed less than 6 months. It is being used by a tall, thin teenager who is no where near the weight limit on this bed. It looks nice but isn’t holding up at all. ... show more
