  • Looks great, really sturdy, you will stub a toe
Size: King Color: Stone
What can I say I looks great, is solid and does not make any noise if you toss and turn at night. If you get one of the bigger sizes Queen, King, etc, it is not the easiest to put together alone, but it is do able. I suggest 2 people though. It makes things easier and will not take you 4 hours to put together that way. Also the box is heavy for the king size so best of luck there. Now I should also mention that part of the support is a solid piece of black wood, probably particular board with a laminate coating but solid enough, that connects the side boards and is very close to the edge of the bed. So if you are walking along to close to the bed and are not careful you will stub your toes, possible several times, but eventually you will learn not to do that. Or at the very least to be very careful around the middle of the bed late at night. Dont worry the cast will come off eventually and you will be fine. It is a solid bed frame and does work really well. ... show more

  • This is NOT a Twin XL sized frame. I just don't know how they can get this so wrong.
Size: Twin XL Color: Pearl
Well, here we are, more than 100 years into standardized bed sizes that were so set as to facilitate ALL beds and frames, no matter the manufacturer or builder, fitting one another properly, but still, it seems manufacturers today are too inept, or careless, to follow them. As is shown in the photos, this Lucid frame is a solid six inches too long for a standard Twin XL mattress. I am so disappointed, and frustrated (returning these is going to be a nightmare, and I am sure the company is banking on that, betting most people won't go through the time and physical expense of doing so). And, to be sure I hadn't somehow ordered a Twin mattress instead of Twin XL, I measured it, too, and it is 79in long, which is reasonable since a twin xl bed frame's footprint (the part where the mattress sits) should be 80 inches +/- 1 inch or so, and it confirms this frame is just plain too long for the corresponding mattress size, period. Long and the short of it is there is no way to make this reasonably work with, not without some time and money-consuming hack, either you push the mattress against the headboard and you have a giant, awkward, ugly chasm at the bottom to look at and to try to remember is there so as to physically avoid it, or you pull the mattress down flush with the foot end of the bed and you have a six inch gap for everything to fall through where your pillows are and head and hands lay while you're asleep. If you choose the more obvious choice of pushed against the headboard end and a guest is lying or lounging on the bed and don't know about (or forget about) the six inch TRAP of a gap at the foot end and they quickly shimmy down or otherwise exit out of bed the bed byway the end instead of the side, they can easily, injure themselves, as instead of their foot or feet sliding off (and onto the ground below as their brain expects because that is normal exit procedure with properly sized mattresses and frames), their foot or feet might slide off the end and right into that gap (or hit it on the end). They could get a foot stuck or scraped or ankle twisted , especially since they probably had some momentum going into it. Gaps are dangerous that way (and this is why we have industry standards!). I don't have much more to say except 1. I regret buying TWO of these for my new guest room, and 2. GET YOUR ISH TOGETHER, LUCID. It doesn't matter how sturdy or attractive something like this is, if it is sized improperly for normal and safe function then it's not going to cut it., even at this relatively modest price point. The first job and really the ONLY job a bed frame performs is to properly hold a mattress. If it can't meet that standard it's a piece of junk. This is, therefore, a piece of junk not worth your time, money, or effort. Avoid until they fix this sizing issue (which, who am I kidding, they probably never will). ... show more

  • Perfect with our split king adjustable base
Size: King Color: Pearl
Nice headboard and bed frame for the price. Did need to slightly alter it to make it fit our split king adjustable base, but it was quick and easy (just removing a small board that holds the slats that was attached by a couple of screws).

  • Instructions
Size: Queen Color: Pearl
Was easy to put together, looks great. However, the pics on my directions seemed flipped, like a mirror image. Took me two try on one side of bed. I was frustrated, but it all worked out.?

  • A Clean look and quick assembly
Size: Queen Color: Black
OK so I bought one of these beds to try because I was setting up an Airbnb in a house that I just bought and I liked it so much that I bought three more. Though you do have to be careful with the instructions because putting it together they kind of have the drawing upside down. The side rails that hold the top slats goes to the top not the bottom as it is drawn in the instructions So, I thought I had to modify the middle legs. Well, that was no big deal. I learned for the next three that I ordered once I put this together all in all a nice bed with a clean, look and easy to assemble at a great price. What else could you ask for? ... show more

  • It's nice enough looking, but it's not great. Not that compatible with their bases.
Size: King Color: Charcoal
As upholstered beds go, this one is cheap, and it is budget in appearance. It looks nice enough, but it's not going to give anyone the impresison of luxury by any means. I bought it as a surround for a Lucid adjustable base, and while it is compatible in that the adjustable bases will "sit inside" this bed just fine, it's truly just a half-build bed sitting loose around the outside of the bases. The bed doesn't attach in any way to the bases, and it doesn't havthe slats, and thus no cross--bracing of any kind to give the bed rigidity or heft...to it's basically just a headboard, a footboard, and 2 sideboards flapping in the breeze. Bump the corner with your foot, and the whole bed moves akimbo. Also, the ledge inside the bed frame that the slats attach to is just raw white wood, so it's highly visible. You have the adjustable bed base, which is nice gray fabric, then a gap, then a brigt strip of pine sticking out of the next piece of gray fabrice covered wood. The gap is unsightly, and the unfinished, bright piece of wood is even moreso. I'm going to look into covering it with black fabric tape or just painting it or something, and try to make some brackets so the bed and the adjustable base are in some way tied to one another and will stabilize each other. Right now, it's just like 2 separate pieces of furniture you try to keep lined up, even though one of them is way too light to stay put when it gets bumped. As the manufacturer of both pieces, it seems to me Lucid should be making them more compatible with each other. Maybe they can come up with some brackets or something. ... show more
