This memory foam topper is excellent. Although, it's important to note that the lavender scent of the topper was SUPER strong after first being unpackaged. Seriously, I'm pretty sure your entire house/apartment will smell like you're cultivating a field's worth of lavender crops in one room within moments of opening the plastic. I loved the smell - it was delightful! - but it was overpowering for my husband to a point where he had to leave the house for a few hours as I opened windows and let the scent diffuse. I'll be honest, I was excited to get this topper onto our bed and cut the fluff time down to a few hours as a result (I believe it's supposed to air out flat for up to 24 hours). Despite this, the foam had fully expanded within that few hour time frame. After re-dressing the bed, I did what any sane person would do and threw myself onto it like a starfish. I sunk into the memory foam and seriously considered just going to sleep right then. I should reiterate the point made by other reviews: if you do not let this topper fluff up by airing it out as recommended, it will NOT reach the advertised 2" thickness. I guarantee this is why some reviewers are complaining about the lack of thickness - impatience. The topper WILL be almost flat within the first hour of opening. Keep in mind also, this is memory foam and not some other synthetic foam like the old school yellow egg crate. This means that the cells of the foam are very fine and the material is extremely susceptible to tearing if stressed. This is unavoidable if the topper isn't treated gently, so ignore the reviews complaining about tearing. Our bed sheet was loose and the topper started sliding towards the head of the bed; foolishly, I only loosened the bottom corners of the sheet and tried to pull the topper towards the foot of the bed. I tore the topper slightly where my thumbs were holding on, as the topper was stuck to the mattress. It still works despite this - but this is just an example of why you should exercise caution and know what you're buying. I will undoubtedly purchase this topper again once the current one has been worn out. I am deeply satisfied with its performance.

I have a really hard time sleeping more than an hour or two each night and I go to work very early in the day, so what sleep I do get needs to be quality. We recently switched to a king sized bed for this reason (what is marriage but fighting over bed space, eh?) but the mattress wasn't the softest thing, so we purchased this. I've bought quite a few foam toppers and I would say this is definitely on the cheaper side price-wise. I don't think you'd find a better value for a King on this site. For some reason my spouse thought this was going to be heavy and made me think I should brace to deadlift a baby elephant up the staircase, but it's super lightweight which is nice. It's easy to get out of the bag and the card tells you to air for 48 hours (haha not gonna happen) so you're not smacked in the face with the aroma of an entire botanical garden, but I let it air out for maybe an hour since I liked the scent. It's extremely comfortable. I wasn't expecting much from a 2-inch topper but man, it makes a difference to sleep on this thing. I sometimes wake up with neck and back pain because I sleep on my stomach with a pillow, which means my spine basically rests at a 90 degree angle like Peyton Manning's neck, and I'm happy to report that I've had no issues this morning. The lavender scent was relaxing and felt like a hug from Spring. That being said, it does feel like if you tug too hard or you move around a lot in your sleep, this thing could tear pretty easily. It's only a 2 inch topper and it wasn't that expensive, so I would say you'll get what you pay for here if you're someone who tosses and turns a lot. But for the rest of the population, this is a solid investment and I genuinely look forward to going to bed at night.

I bought two of these (one in full and one in queen) and I'm so glad I did! A bargain. One for the guest bedroom downstairs and one for my bed. I have a memory foam topper (4 inch) on my bed already but I wanted something a little extra - just a little more softness and "give" and one that wasn't so hot (the other one retains a lot of heat). As well, the lavender scent enticed me to buy. Mine, unlike some reviewers, didn't have an overwhelming lavender scent that was too strong. And even when I left the guest bed one on top of the bed and went in there the next day, I didn't really smell it too much. I was a little disappointed in this, but in a way I suppose it's good it's not too strong. On my bed I have a cushy mattress topper (I LOVE a high bed - and my bed is super high now) and that may mask the scent some, but I was happy that the last two nights I did have a little bit of lavender waft up that was really pleasing, and that's enough for me. This memory foam topper is super comfy. It's soft but since it's only 2" and I have a firmer 4 inch topper underneath, the softness is just right. My guest bed mattress is very firm so the 2" topper in queen I bought will bring a little softness to that mattress, too. I'm super happy with them! For the price, you can't go wrong. And the little cutter thing they included to cut away the plastic material when you are unpacking it is a nice handy tool to keep around - I've been using it for other things around the house.

We just moved into our first house and bought our first king size bed, so I wanted it to be extra special - and that means I needed a foam mattress topper. I believe I first saw this one mentioned on Buzzfeed and was instantly drawn to it because of the lavender scent and the price was good for other king mattress toppers that I saw on Amazon, so I figured there was no downside. I was right! The topper was delivered vacuum sealed and compressed, so I had to open the package and let it expand (luckily we have a few empty rooms at the moment) for about 48 hours, by which time it was fully fluffed and ready to go. I'm embarrassed to say that I accidentally ripped a small hole in the foam while transporting it to my bedroom, but once I put the topper on the bed we couldn't even tell where the hole was. Let's talk about comfort - this thing is AMAZING. My wife and I plopped down on our new bed and laughed at how amazing it felt. I normally toss and turn for at least 30 minutes before finally drifting off to sleep, but with this thing on the bed I think it took me around 10 (and that's honestly impressive considering how hard it is for me to fall asleep). My wife reported sleeping great as well, even though she recently admitted that she'd never gotten a good night's sleep on our old mattress. If you're worried that the scent will be overpowering - don't be. It definitely filled the room in which it was expanding with the smell of lavender, but it wasn't headache-inducing at all; once it's on the bed with sheets on top of it, the smell is subtle and unobtrusive. Our cat was a little confused why our bed was so smelly, but she was the only one who seemed fazed by it at all; our dog, who sleeps in the bed with us, had no complaints. All in all this thing is fantastic and well worth the money, and if you love the smell of lavender you will go NUTS for this!

Don't know why so many people are complaining about the smell (don't buy a scented topper) 🤔 duh! I aired ours out for 8hrs while at work, doesn't need 24 to fully expand and the scent wasn't as strong as all of the complaints lead you to believe. But if you have a sensitive sniffer then 8hrs should be enough. And as for the foam splitting or falling apart after months of continuous use...🤔 It's foam people "FOAM" what do you expect to happen when you are tossing, turning, sleeping maybe having a little adult time? It's foam it breaks down especially when you are rubbing all over it all the time. It's the normal process of unprotected foam. If you want better foam buy gel or spray it with something that will protect it from your body heat, frictional stress and oils. Maybe try using 2 sheets. Again it's just simple crate foam. Speaking of which, the egg crate design is just that, design. No extra support in one section or another just a design to make it look better than what it is, a simple block of foam infused with scent. All that out of the way..🤔 We paired this with Hotel Direct Bamboo sheets and installed the set on our Sleep Number bed. Changed the whole bed into the most luxurious sleep masterpiece! We are sleeping so deep it's hard to wake up, seriously! It was a little too soft for me the first night/hour but luckily I just turned up the pressure on the sleep number and voila! The most beautiful nights sleep in a while! 2in. seems to be just the right thickness unless your over 250lbs The pad doesn't seem to sleep too hot, but that could be a side effect of the bamboo sheets, haven't tried it yet with our microfiber sheets? All in, the pairing of the sheets and this pad/topper is the best purchase we've made in a long time! 👍

At first, I was unsure what the pros to purchasing this mattress topper were (amongst many across Amazon). As an incoming college student, I needed something sturdy, lasting, and comfortable. After a bit of research, this listing was just as good as it could get, so I purchased it. Shipping was quick and unboxing this mattress pad was easy and even came with a clip to open everything-- very convenient. As soon as I placed this on my bed I was in love. The memory foam and five zones truly made sleeping easier and more comfortable. It was like sleeping on a cloud. I also purchased the mattress with lavender infused and it truly adds to the relaxing effect of the mattress pad. As many college mattresses are hard, squeaky, noisy, and overall uncomfortable; this mattress pad completely fixed all of those problems and even smells great! I cannot recommend this product enough, as the price point is great, there is a 3 year warranty (given with the product in the box), arrives on time, and the company offers so many sizes and types that you couldn't go wrong picking one to suit your style. The reason I gave this 3 stars is because of the lavender. Don't get me wrong, I used to love lavender. I am not sensitive to smells and could live in Bath and Body works, but this was horrible. We ordered this because of all the great reviews and it is a great mattress pad. My back pain has gone away. Comfort, I give it 5 stars hands down. So why the 3 star rating. Here's why. I opened it and the smell slapped me in the face. It was very overpowering. My poor cat would not come in the room. I let it air out and fluff for almost 8 hours if not longer. I was excited to sleep on my new mattress pad. Well, sleep was not easy. The lavender was so strong, I could taste it. It gave me the worse headache. I tossed and turned all night long and woke with my nose stopped up. I coughed all day and could still taste that horrible smell. Night 2: I put a towel under my pillow to try to mask the smell but that didn't help. Every time I moved or my husband moved, I was slapped with more lavender. My nose burned and started to drain down my throat, which in turn gave me a sore throat. (Cat still won't enter room) Day 3: I contemplate sleeping on the couch just to clear my head and nasal passage. But I have a leather couch and didn't want to play slip and slide all night, so I once again laid in lavender hell. (At this point, I am contemplating sending it back) Day 4: my nasal passage is swollen shut and I can not longer smell lavender or anything else at this point. Sleep is not happening because I can't breathe, but according to hubby, the smell is fading. (Cat stares at me from doorway) After a week, my nasal passages return to normal and lavender smell is gone. I now enjoy an amazing night's sleep and wake up pain free. This mattress does exactly what is says, it comforts your body. (Cat has return back to the bed) If you are sensitive to smells, this mattress will kill you. Buy the one without lavender. If you aren't sensitive to smells, like me, this mattress may just beat you up for a few days with the smell. All in all, it's a great mattress. I plan to order 1 for each of my children (without the lavender smell) Thanks to this mattress, if I never smell lavender again, I will be ok. Update: it's been 3 1/2 months and the pad has started to rip. The weird part is the part that is ripping is at the foot of the bed. Not where actually lay. We very rarely sit on the edge of the bed. Not as durable as I had hoped.
