This bed is a lot firmer than we're used to, but it only took a few nights to get used to it. We slept on one at a friend's house and had a good night's sleep, so when I got home, I put this in my Amazon Cart. Fast forward 2 or 3 years later, and when it was time for a new mattress, I made the purchase. Arrived quickly, and was easy to unpackage and place on my existing box springs. I was a little restless the first night because I was simply not used to the firmness. The second night was much better. It seems like every night after that has gotten better. I feel like it is much better for my neck and back than our old mattress (which was a high-end name brand but 12-15 years old). For a while now, I have been feeling pretty crummy every morning upon waking. I must say, I don't really have that feeling anymore, and feel much better in the morning. I feel like I'm getting much better rest at night with less tossing and turning. It's firm, but it's still comfortable and soft on the pressure areas. I would highly recommend this mattress, and I hope they continue to make it because I would like to buy another when this one gets old.

GREAT mattress for the price! Mattresses arrived safely and vacuumed sealed. No bad off gassing smells! I've purchases three of these within the past 6 months. The first two I purchased in January of 2026. So far so good! I used each with the Tami Tami power adjustable base with no issues. Only time will tell how they hold up in 5 years. I will say that if I had to do it again I would probably opt for the firmer version as the plush sinks a little too much for my liking depending on mine and my wife's sleeping position. They are very easy to set up. For the price, I would DEFINITELY recommend them!! We're really hoping they hold up for at least 5 years... we'll see.

What's inside: 2" refreshing bamboo charcoal + cooling gel infused memory foam, 1" transition comfort foam, 5" durable base foam. What sold me: fiberglass free, CertiPUR-US certified, breathable, and it's a bed in a box so it was easy to set up. Compatible with all bases — box spring, platform, metal grid, slatted base, adjustable base. We have Queen 80" x 60" and it fits perfect. Durable and I don't wake up hot anymore. For the price, you can't beat it.

Comfortable, but not perfect.

I purchased this mattress 3 months ago as it was time to replace the ancient one I had been using. The reviews on this mattress were good and the price was reasonable so I decided to give it a try. It came in a box that was not so heavy I couldn't move it. Set up was easy, but there was some off-gassing that went away after a couple days. After the first 2 nights, I woke up with a terrible migraine, but decided to give it more time because breaking a mattress in is always hard. I am glad I stuck with it. In the 3 months I have used it, I have slept better. I find the pain relief claim to be false, as it has provided little to no benefit to my lower back or neck. Even with the plush model, it was a little firmer than I like so I purchased a topper. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and will probably purchase another hybrid when the time comes for a new mattress. Overall, it gets 4 stars out of 5. Pros: Easy setup, restful sleep and comfort. Cons: Off gassing, no promised pain relief and not as plush as claimed.

Full disclosure: I have hip dysplasia, fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility type. Sleep has always been so hard for me. My joints ache, I toss and turn....this will be the 3rd lucid bed I've gladly bought and what a dream! I purchased my first Lucid bed back when the company first began, it was a basic memory foam model but it was the best bed I had ever slept in! Unfortunately after a couple of years, my dog decided to pee on the bed, and despite getting it fairly clean, it began to go soft in the middle, obviously my dog's fault. During this time I also purchased my son the twin version of the bed, which he still has and loves/prefers over his spring coil bed at his dad's... Now here's where I made a mistake. The last bed I bought about 2.5 years ago to replace my softening lucid was a hybrid style mattress from another company - foam on top, small coils on the bottom...my thought process I guess was maybe more supportive? Won't go soft in the middle if my dog is a brat? That bed was a literal BRICK. $300 worth of mattress toppers couldn't save my aching joints. It was hard to make an investment in another bed after only a couple of years, but my body needed it. During a great deal on cyber Monday I picked up the newest 'plush' 14" memory foam bed from Lucid... FINALLY SOME RESTFUL SLEEP! No tossing and turning, no waking up with sore joints and aches in weird places and dislocated bones! It eliminates pressure points, without being too soft! It's absolutely a dream. For those of you out there suffering chronic pain - restful sleep is so important in waking up feeling more human. Do yourself the favor - you deserve to sleep!!! Your body will thank you, your wallet will get over it - this compares to tempur-pedic models I tried in store that cost upwards of 2k! Get the bed! You can thank me later by marking this review helpful ;)

Please read the whole review. I put this at one star so that you would read my experience . I didn't know what star to put for this. First off I received a brand new mattress that was stained. I decided to contact the manufacturer to see what they wanted to do. I was very discouraged to receive what I thought was a new product with stains. It makes me wonder what type of quality control they may have if they can package this from their Factory with stains. Who knows what the rest of the mattress looks like inside. So basically after contacting them they just blew me off and told me to contact Amazon. No nothing no help no offer to even give me a new cover which is removable to replace the stained one. So the moral to the story is be wary as they will not honor anything or offer to help in any way. On a good note I did contact Amazon and they were more than helpful. They had offered some solutions for me with plenty of options. I did not want to return the mattress and go through that hassle. Now they did offer to return it but I didn't think that would be feasible. So five stars for Amazon for being so accommodating. 1 star for lucid as they are not at all accommodating and do not care about what their product is like when it leaves their Factory. Reality of it all is if they don't care can you only wonder what actually is going on at the factory and that they have no quality control to send a mattress out of their Factory stained. Now for the mattress itself it is reasonably comfortable and I would not call it plush more to the medium range. It does work for us as we are both lighter people. We did not want a firm mattress. We'll see if it even gets softer with time but overall it works. My only concern is how long it will last based on my quality control concerns. Should I have any issues I am sure Lucid would be unwilling to honor any warranty so like I said buyer beware. Thanks to Amazon so making this purchase feel at least a little better. No thanks to Lucid for their terrible quality control and customer service.
