  • A lot better than expected! Great little machine
Size: WAND 3500mW
This Wizmaker Laser Engrave is fun! Its a compact, entry level machine for DIY projects. Setup was super easy. No real assembly needed other than hooking up the laser), just plug in and connect via USB. It zips through engraving wood, leather, acrylic, and even light marks on glass or metal without dragging. I got crisp details on coasters, custom phone cases, and some small signs. You still need good ventilation and eye protection. Software compatibility with LightBurn or LaserGRBL worked smoothly for me. For beginners or casual crafters, it's a solid, affordable way to start engraving without huge investment. Results are surprisingly good for 3.5w. Definitely worth it if you're dipping your toes in. ... show more

  • Great entry level laser engraver. Works well on dog tags.
Size: WAND 3500mW
I’ve always wanted a laser engraver to make dog tags for rescue organizations, so I’m really happy to be able to pick this up. Being my first laser engraver, I don’t have anything else to compare it to, but it works great for me. It comes ready to use right out of the box, and I’ve made a few tags so far using the app. Works very well and surprisingly quick for how small it is. I think it’s definitely worth the money (currently $119). If you use this for a business, this could easily pay for itself in a few weeks. ... show more

  • Solid machine that takes some patience to set up and do projects
Size: WAND 3500mW
I really wanted to love this laser engraver since I’ve been wanting one for a long time. I thought an entry-level model would be simple to use, but I had a hard time getting it set up and figuring out the software. Even with help from my brother-in-law and sister, we struggled to get it running at first. It took quite a bit of time, effort, and research to learn. The recommended software is pretty complicated, but once we got it working, the engraving quality was great—clean lines and clear detail on wood. The machine itself feels solid and well built with quality materials. I just wish the setup and learning process were easier. ... show more

  • Plug & Play design, great for beginners!
Size: WAND 3500mW
I think this is an excellent little desktop laser. The assembly was super easy because all I had to do was pull it out of the box and plug it in. The focus adjustment is well designed. There is a built-in knob on the side that lets you adjust the height and then turn one thumb-screw and it is ready to go. It was simple to connect to my computer. All I had to do was install the driver and then make a new profile in lightburn. This has included limit switches as well so I can set it to auto-home, which is a very nice touch…especially on a diode laser. The size of this laser is very compact which is great for storage when not in use. I’m using it to laser aluminum business cards and other small things. The actual focal point on the laser is extremely fine and can create some pretty impressive detail. I think this is a great laser engraver for beginners to use. Overall, this laser has a lot of features and really good build quality for the price point. ... show more

  • Good price on an entry level engraver
Size: WAND 3500mW
This is a great way to introduce yourself or your kids to engraving. It does various surfaces like slate, cardboard, and wood. Out of the box, the machine is very sturdily built and only requires a few steps to get it up and running. It is very simple. You do need to download software in order to communicate your design to the engraver. There is a design program that comes with the install software that you can use or there are others like cutlabx that cost money. The ones that cost money do have easier interfaces and prefabricated designs but if you want the free route, just follow the instructions after importing your own jpeg or pdf file. After picking out your design, the process to engrave can take time.... sometimes a long time(hour or so) depending on how large and intricate your design is. All in all, minus how long it takes to actually "print" your design, this is a great bang for your buck and a good way to start engraving things until you can buy a glow forge. ... show more

  • Easy setup and start learning.
Size: WAND 3500mW
The media could not be loaded. (My picture test is burnt, was my 1st attempt and wasn’t set up properly. User error) The Wizmaker Entry-Level Laser Engraver setup was quick and surprisingly straightforward. I had it connected and running test burns within 10 minutes. If you are comfortable with basic software, this feels close to plug and play. It solves the entry barrier for someone wanting to try engraving without a complicated setup. The unit feels light but solid for its size. Frame and rails look clean and aligned, and the laser head moves smoothly. My test pattern came out sharp with consistent lines, even on the first run. The included sample burn showed good detail, though dialing in settings will take some practice. In real use, this is best for small projects like wood tags, leather, or simple designs. There is a learning curve with power and speed settings. Also, it burns material, so there is noticeable smoke and smell. Plan to use it in a ventilated space. ... show more

  • Creative Power on the Desktop
Size: WAND 3500mW
This desktop laser engraver is a solid entry into the world of diy crafting and offers a good balance of speed and precision. The setup is relatively straightforward and the wifi connectivity makes it much easier to send designs from a computer without being tethered by a usb cable. It handles a variety of materials well and the 3500mw power is plenty for engraving wood or leather with crisp detail. This is a great tool for hobbyists or small business owners who want to personalize products at home. It provides good value by being compact enough for a small studio while still offering a decent processing speed. Because it's a powerful laser you must be very careful with safety and ensure you are using it in a well ventilated area. If you are looking for a plug and play toy this requires a bit of a learning curve but the results are worth the effort. ... show more
