I am always so skeptical about buying a mattress online with the fear of what to do if I have to return it! DO NOT FEAR WITH THIS MATTRESS. It is wonderful. It was easy to unbox, it expanded perfectly (even the corners) and it is exactly what I was expecting as far as the pressure I selected (I got medium). The memory foam isn't too soft or too firm and I have been sleeping super hard since day 1 of sleeping on it. My husband who has back issues and normally prefers a firm mattress will lay on my side (we just have twins put together) and say "wow this is so comfortable" and then I have to tell him to get back on his side hahaha. I have nothing but great things to say about this mattress. For the price point, I feel like I have gotten my moneys worth out of it. I've only had it a few months so I'm not sure how many months or years I will get out of it, but right now I don't really care because I am sleeping great and my back doesn't hurt. Full disclosure, I have previously slept on a partially deflated and incredibly smooshy Sleep Number bed for 20+ years so I’m probably not coming at this new mattress with a proper mindset! I like soft and cushy (soggy?) beds and I should have looked for something that was truly plush. That being said, we have a few of the Lucid mattresses at our lake home and they were great value for the money and have held up well. So this was a no brainer- the mattress arrived on time and I let it inflate and air out for about three days. No toxic odor or off gassing. Overall, it’s great, just not as soft as I would have liked. The word ‘plush’ isn’t really an accurate descriptor. I might buy a down feather bed topper and see if that helps. I got this bed, let it stand alone for over 48 hours. Placed a mattress protector on it, and used it since. There mattress isn’t as plush I would like but it slept pretty decent. I just took the protector off to wash it today and there is mold! I had a bigger spot but I sprayed bleach like a crazy person because I can’t afford a new mattress. I’ve been using foam mattresses for almost 7 years and never encountered this problem. So upset. This is the first really expensive one I bought too. Just fair warning ... show more

    • Warranty Nightmare: Rapid Decline in Mattress Firmness

TL;DR: The warranty process is a nightmare and the mattress loses its firmness much too quickly. Many reviews don't come from long-term owners, which is telling. My experience with this company and their product has been so frustrating that I felt compelled to write this review. After over three years with this mattress, here's why I advise against purchasing it. If you're considering this mattress, you're likely swayed by the positive reviews and thinking, "A firm mattress at this price? Seems like a good deal, right?" It's not exactly cheap, but considering how crucial a good night's sleep is, it seems worth the investment at first. My advice? Don't fall for it. Save your money and look elsewhere. 1. Less than two years after my purchase, I found myself scrutinizing the warranty. I questioned the firmness of the mattress and whether its rapid decline was normal. The realization hit when I sat near the edge of my bed one day, only to find the firmness I had been missing. It prompted me to look into the warranty, which brings me to my next point. 2. The warranty is atrocious. They demand a 1.5-inch depression in the mattress and a slew of photos. I ended up sending nearly a dozen pictures from every conceivable angle, including shots with rulers to show the depression, all the mattress tags, the bed base, and every side of the mattress. The sheer volume of photos they requested was so overwhelming that I couldn't even attach them and the receipt in a single email. I resorted to using a cloud service to send everything. If this sounds like too much hassle, I strongly suggest avoiding this company altogether. Their warranty requirements are unrealistic and overly burdensome for the customer.
