I really like these curtains, they are not overly heavy and not too thin. They hang well and I appreciate the loops in the back so they can pleat when pulled open. I purchased a couple sets for different windows in our home. Most of our light is filtered by the surrounding trees so we don’t get a ton of bright sunlight or much city light either. We also have a double curtain as well, which helps. I can see how others who need 100% full light blocking in a window with very bright light may be somewhat disappointed since they are not a full light blocking fabric, and have no extra liner. I also got black, so perhaps the darker colors are the most effective. Anyway, I would still definitely recommend these for most people unless you need absolute darkness in a very bright location. The curtains are very prwttt and the color was true to the picture. Nice velvet look, soft and they hang nicely. Not stiff or awkward. I put them in the dryer for about 10 minutes and the wrinkles from being packaged came out. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because they are not blackout. They filter the light very well but not a true blackout. ... show more

My husband and I bought a house on a street where, apparently, everyone has first responder, batman calling quality porch lights on every side of their house, which they leave on ALL night long. To like where they light up every bedroom and hallway in the top of our 2 story (with extra high ceiling styled) house as if it's daylight. I wanted velvet because cat hair doesn't cling to velvet as much as it does other fabric (so I've been told anyways). So I decided to give these a try. We went with black because we're repainting our room and figured it'll match whatever we go with. I LOVE how they hang, and they're the perfect size. They seem to be quite insulating to the windows, which we are replacing in the next year (we live in the midwest and they're old windows). They work great at keeping the light out! We slept in the first night we had them up, it was like being in a new room all over again! Didn't see any of our neighbors house lights or car lights! And so far, they're not rolling in cat hair either, so I'm very pleased and we will be buying more to replace the rest of the curtains! ... show more

Really pretty! Color is great and the quality is great as well. They are thick and heavy which is exactly what I wanted. Not a great picture, as this is a work in progress, but totally love the curtains.
