Pros: - no effort once set up - click and it goes! - precision - quiet Cons: - expensive - will require a 4g subscription after 1 year free ($50/ year… same as 1 mow by a company) - took a little bit of work to figure out the initial setup - doesn’t mulch up leaves I was in need of a new mower. I was paying $50/per week for a company to cut my grass. I don’t have time to cut my own grass, and I don’t have space to store a large mower. So I thought I would try the robot mower. I have a robot vacuum, and it’s terrible 🤣 so I was skeptical going in… I looked at Reddit, and Reddit said that this was the best one. They were right! This thing is so impressive!! The mower took a couple of days to arrive. The manual is long and complicated. I took my time to read it, but some things you don’t really understand until you are trying to get it going. I didn’t realize that the house mount was sold separately. I think that it is important because, from what I’ve read, if the RTK moves, the mower won’t be accurate. So I had to order that, and it delayed getting the mower going by a couple of days, but it is worth it to do it correctly. Mounting the rtk involved using power tools on an extension ladder. The cable was plenty long enough, but since everything needed to be plugged in indoors, we had to drill holes in the house and wire it into the garage. Once that was setup, I followed the prompts in the app to sync my iPad with the RTK, and the mower. Then, the app guided me through the process of setting everything up. I had to drive the mower like an rv car around the perimeter of my property, and the no-mow zones. The app is a little clunky, but gets the job done. We had some trouble initially with getting the blades to engage, but the chat bot helped to resolve that quickly! So, setup is a bit much. But once that’s done, it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever bought on Amazon! 1 click and my entire lawn is mowed! It follows my property boundary with precision each time! Never gets lost, perfect cut each time! Stripes at whatever angle you want! I got this at the end of the mow season. I suspect I will need to mow a couple of times each week when there is high growth just to stay ahead of it. I don’t want to rake grass clippings and it doesn’t bag it or anything. Also, it doesn’t seem like it mulches up leaves. 🍂 My property is 1/3 acres and I got the mid level mower. It takes the mower about 5 hours to finish a mow. If it gets dark before it’s done mowing, it just puts on its lights and keeps going! The mower is super quiet and won’t disturb your neighbors.

This thing is awesome! It makes lines so satisfying and mows in the middle of the night so we wake up to a perfectly manicured lawn. Just a bit of edging now and then. It takes a bit of patience to set up but there is plenty of info out there from customers and Mammotion to figure out various challenges. It’s definitely a conversation piece, everyone is so curious about it. We mow about 2/3 acre with a steep slope to a creek, no problem for it. It mows while we’re on vacation and will save us $500 a month on mowing services.

I do recommend this robot. I have a .67 acre lot, so the yard's pretty big. It's got four or five different zones that are pretty complex. This thing basically handles everything and makes it so I don't have to hire a lawn service. And it leaves really nice lines on my lawn every day. I should mention that I did have to buy an attachment that goes onto my roof because there's a lot of trees in my lawn and the house is in the way between the front and the back. And so there's this antenna that comes with it and technically you can mount it just in the yard, but it really needs to be mounted very high up on the roof in order to give the robot very precise positioning. So that was an extra $100 I had to pay for. And I also had to install it on the eve of the roof, which wasn't particularly easy. Another thing I should mention is these robot lawnmowers, at least all the ones I know of, use basically razor blades to cut the lawn. So they don't have big, strong blades like a manual lawnmower would have. I think because they can basically mow the lawn every day, and so they can just keep shaving a little bit off with these tiny razor blades. And they can also move very slow because it's not consuming human labor. Whereas a manual lawnmower needs a big blade in case you want to wait a month to mow your super high dense grass. And then you want to be able to walk pretty fast so you can get it done. Whereas these robotic lawn mowers can putter around every day shaving little bits off. So be prepared for that. I took off one star for two reasons: * The main reason is that the way they have it programmed now, when it turns, it does tear up the grass sometimes. They need to change the way that its programmed to turn so that it turns more smoothly when possible. Right now they use this method that does very right turns, but where some of the wheels turn in opposite directions, which causes the grass to get torn up. If a very tight turn is needed, that would be fine, but if it's not needed, they need to just change the algorithm so that it does a more gradual turn, because there's a few places where it has torn up some grass. * The other reason is that sometimes it gets stuck going up this ramp into my driveway and it's really only like a one to two inch bump. So a few tweaks to the AI algorithm would be nice. That all being said, I do recommend it. It was under $3,000 and my yard is pretty big. And I'm probably going to break even on it this year because I don't have to hire anybody. But it's even better than that because it mows the lawn literally every day, leaving nice clean lines in the lawn. So it's definitely a positive addition to my life. I should also emphasize again that my lawn is very complex with multiple zones that it has to travel between and the zones themselves are weird shapes with all kinds of obstacles and this thing is smart enough and sophisticated enough to handle all that.

This mower was great until it malfunctioned. Figured hey I have a 3 year extended warranty it should be fine. Since then it has been sent back and repaired got it back yesterday still broken after being gone almost a month. If it works no problem. Reassemble reset up entire yard as it no longer worked. Went to mow and same error. Nothing fixed. My advice is if you don't have to depend on it fine. But if u think it's going to make things go easier. Good luck. I find it less of a burden to just mow my grass with a manual mower at least it doesn't break in less than 2 months of use. And then no one can get it repaired!! Support then informs me I need to start over again jumping thru hoops

This mower is amazing. It is highly configurable and addresses every mowing concern that I can imaging on our property. Setting up maps and mowing zones is intuitive and the robot is very responsive to input from the app. We have a pretty large, bumpy, hilly and spread out area to cover and the Luba 2 HX3000 handles it all. RTK connection to the mower is excellent. RTK + Wi-Fi + 4G coverage means our mower does not lose navigation. Additionally, I was able to get deep-dive setup and operating details by prompting ChatGPT when I had specific questions. Overall a 5-Star purchase.

I have had my new Luba 2 AWD H for about a month now. We have a complex multi-level yard with some steeper parts a bunch of no-go zones around tree wells. I have mapped everything and their is a learning curve as with everything tech oriented but the more we run it the robot seems to get better and I guess we do too with his settings. I definitely recommend customizing the angle of the zig zag to move perpendicular to the slope of the yard. When he cuts parallel he seems to slide downhill a bit. We are still playing with the best cutting height and frequency. We have had some issues with it pausing and not restarting and it isnt always clear what the issue is. May need to set the obstacle avoidance to standard instead of sensitive. That may be why he sometimes stops at the bottom of a ramp I built for it to move from one task area to the next. Overall this is an impressive machine and I'm looking forward to having more time to make adjustments and tweek his settings. Most importantly the customer service has been responsive to questions and I'm sure I will have more as I learn and figure this out!

The Luba 2's performance matches my expectations. Cons: It gets stuck and digs itself into bare patches. It misses one strip of my lawn (<1' wide by 6' long) despite running remapping runs. For my complicated lawn, I found creating multiple zones via manual mapping was tedious, particularly aligning boundaries them with existing zones. Long growing weeds tend to just get pushed over and not cut. Pros: It cuts the grass (or at least most of it, see above) even with my steep slope and thick grass blades. I was able to put the dock under my patio roof (with the RTK station mounted to the side of my house) and it still starts a majority of the time with no issue from lack of satellite visibility. In summary, I think if you understand what this robot is capable of, you won't be disappointed. It isn't perfect and it's not the same as your regular mower but it's super convenient.
