The Loupedeck software sucks. It is missing so much functionality I'd like to see. I use an alternative software called Companion by Bitfocus that gives me way more control, though it does lack profiles and automatic profile switching based on the focused app, most of which I didn't think I'd use anyway. The device itself, though, is pretty great. I don't know what I'd do with 6 knobs like on the full size one, and even now I sometimes don't know what to do with a second one, but they work well. Some caveats: I wish the knobs required a bit less force to press and the screen is too blue, so if you have a lot of different colors on the page, it doesn't look as vibrant and full of color as it should and if you have a bunch of blue, purple and green, then it all just kinda blends into bluish.

Honestly, I wan't quite sure if this was for me, but I sure am glad I took a chance. I've barely started using this thing for video editing on Premiere Pro, and I love it. It's not even fully setup and it's already a permanent fixture in my editing arsenal. The build quality of this thing is much better than I was anticipating, and the responsiveness of the touch screen doesn't disappoint. All the keyboard shortcuts that require two and three key clicks, along with the menu items are now a single click. Then there's the ability to make whatever key and knob do whatever I want it to...I'm sold. Now I just wish I'd gotten the Loupedeck CT.

I appreciate the flexibility & powerful app support for so many creative apps. I'm a musician & need to keep my hands on the music keyboard. After some initial configuration, I'm now able to control many features of my DJ software without having to use my laptop's trackpad or keyboard.

I have owned other Loupedeck products before (the original Loupedeck and the Loupedeck CT), and they were good. The original Loupedeck is probably my favorite regarding ease of use and productivity with Lightroom Classic. The CT required nearly as much effort as the keyboard and mouse. Therefore, I am trying the Live S in my never-ending quest to find a genuinely more productive tool than the keyboard and mouse. The Live S (LS) is small and unobtrusive. It is better and easier to use than the other two Loupedeck products mentioned. I am using it primarily for Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, Capture One Pro, and a couple of other apps that are difficult to navigate with the keyboard/mouse and need short-cut keys. It's more versatile than the original Loupedeck since it works with multiple apps and takes up far less of your desktop. It's easier and quicker than the Loupedeck CT. It's the best Loupedeck product I've used so far. My reason for 4 stars is that the software user interface could be more intuitive, and it crashes a lot when I modify key settings. I am running a beta version of macOS, so I don't know if that's the problem. However, the user interface could be improved on. I believe Loupedeck could improve and provide more learning materials. I can go to YouTube and find good learning resources, but having to do that indicates the company should be doing better on its documentation and learning materials.

The Loupedeck Live S died all of a sudden. I tried different computers and USB cables. Not to mention I could not use it for WEEKS because of their software not working when trying to setup multi actions. So when I contacted support about my Loupedeck shutting down immediately after turning it on, they said I was out of luck because it was not under warranty anymore. They offered a paltry 20% discount for the price of another Loupedeck device, but how can they expect me to spend more than $100 on a device that will die in a year and a half???? ZERO STARTS for the hardware, software and customer support.
